WWE re-sign D-Lo Brown?
That's what I hear.
His WWF career involved weightloss like a gastric band patient. And he had a bobble head. Oh, and he paralysed Darren Drozdoff with a sloppy as fuck powerbomb. Be careful. jobbers! Discuss. |
|
My bad.
This was still a much easier way to confirm this than going to another website or even searching the forums. |
Sig fest before this closes!

INSENSITIVITY ALERT:
I don't give a shit if D'Lo paralyzed Droz. You get in the ring, you take the chance. Every wrestler accepts the possibility that they might get dropped on their fucking head. Deal. And it's not like Droz was a huge loss to the wrestling world in the first place. |
You can't even prove that Droz wasn't paralyzed before he got in the ring for that matter since it happened before the Wellness Policy.
|
|
Yeah, shit happens in the ring. I don't think D'Lo Brown was held accountable, nor should he be.
|
Also, I once meant to ask, and this has reminded me: Was Droz good in the ring? Passable? How were his mic skills? Darth doesn't seem to think he was a big loss, but was he a loss? Someone describe his ring style to me, if they can.
|
Let's just say, you would want to give him a World Title push.
He was alright, Mic skills was lacking, He was average in the ring for a brawler, but did have some charima, and made wearing a Giant Hat look good. |
Also, he could vomit on command.

So he was pretty average, but nothing too offensive? |

I think he was held accountable, they punished him with some horrible storylines and gimmicks afterwards.
|
I could care less about Droz. I'm sure he's a nice guy or whatever, but I didn't care about the "loss to the industry". D'Lo was much cooler than Droz ever was.
|
I hear WWE takes care of him, anyway. Not that that in any way makes up for being paralyzed, but it's better than being paralyzed and destitute.
|
Pretty heartless in here. (Vote Destor in King of the forum)
|
Not heartless. Just... unfeeling.
GET IT?! |
OUch. (PS-vote for me, see sig for round 2 link!)

Test.

Wow. This is still open.
As far as everyone saying Droz was shit. Thats not the point, D-Lo was the one who lost control of the move. I mean, it's not like he was trying to do something he did in every single match? :$ |
Actually, Droz took blame for the botch and didn't blame D'Lo for messing up the Running Liger Bomb, it was pretty much based upon the loose clothling that Droz was wearing and caused D'Lo to lose his grip while he was running to do the move.

...you could have been Chudsphere.

I know, stop reminding me...

D'Lo slipped on water in the ring. WWE's own fault for not drying it out.

Yeah, thats what I hear. But thing is, since he was never fully elevated, and D'Lo never actually took any steps, he was stationary atthe time of slipping. So you gotta think he never wiped his feet to check his grip at all before he did the move. You would always try to achieve better grip underfoot before lifting someone. And of course if he did, and went on with the move anyway....... |
Was D'Lo meant to hit the move? If not, that would explain why he never lifted him up. Perhaps Droz was meant to hurricanrana out of it? OK, I can't imagine Droz doing a hurricanrana, but you know what I mean.
Droz seems like a really nice guy, and it's very humble of him to not be bitter about the incident. Especially when it's something that effects your livelihood and whole life like that. I'm sure D'Lo has felt enough guilt of it, and doesn't need the incident floating over his career. But yeah, just throwing this out there: Couldn't Droz have aided in getting up in the move? I'm not a trained wrestler, so I don't know how powerbombs work, but I'm sure the onus isn't entirely on the wrestler performing the move. For example: Hardcore Holly made it difficult for Brock to powerbomb him. I always thought of it as a co-operative effort. My advice: Don't play the blame game. Shit happens. There were a lot of factors in it happening. Picking out one of them as the sole cause is probably irresponsible. |
Eh. It's called an accident for a reason. If neither party is bitter, why should we be?

Exactly what?
|
I don't think the Hurricanrana was the reason. You would still end up in the on the shoulders position, even with that.
With a powerbomb, the guy recieving the move has to move with the force to aid getting up and down correctly, and obviously bump right, but most of the onus is on he guy performing the move. I am not blaming anyone as such, I'm just saying, just because a decent guy like Droz said it wasn't D'Lo's fault. Doesn't exactly mean it wasn't. I have always thought that with the beer/water in the ring excuse, if he had planted his feet, he would have been better aware of the slippiness. And moreover, a wrestling mat is made of canvas, and wrestling boots are made of rubber. I don't get how he slipped on any liquid like that, TBH. |
Is there a video of this incident?
|
Theres a YT vid showing some of the pictures, and if you look about, theres bits talking about it, like how he was never elevated properly, before he slipped/was dropped/ whatever.
|
Link to YT vid? I looked last night and found nothing.
