I like CoD just fine, but the WWII thing has run its course.

Hitler existed, Holocaust happened, etc, etc. We don't need 400 perspectives on it, and 100 different one man army POVs.

Even so...I'll play it, because I know even though it's mostly rehashed from before, I still like it quite a bit. Guess I just got used to the Modern Warfare.

However...A flamethrower is always killer, no matter what time period it exists in.

Treyarch tho.

The only plus I see in this is that we're going out of Germany and going island hopping in the Pacific. A route most game developers rarely take when they take on a game based on WWII. Then again, there was Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. And that, IMO, is at the bottom of the barrel in that franchise.

After reading that, this doesn't bode well so far. Come on Infinity Ward, up the cash if need be to lock up the rights to the franchise.

They are actually trying to do so, I believe. Don't think it's gonna happen tho. Activision has much deeper pockets.

I'm pretty sure that they know they have done too much with WWII, but that leads me to believe that they know what they are doing with this.

Ah yes, that would be a quality aspect.

But I don't want to play WWII again unless I'm the one gassing the Jews, not being some English/American hero.

Endless trench fighting would get pretty boring.

i have loved every single socom game and they all had the modern combat theme. i dont understand the need to go back in time to WW2 so often.

If they do anymore WWII games after this (Where you're not gassing Jews, that is) they should be overly American-ised.

Like have no other countries in it other than the evil ones and America and you win the game by scoring a field goal with Hitlers head while the world chants USA.

If it was Infinity Ward making this I wouldn't mind at all that they are doing the Pacific Theatre.

However, it's Treyarch, creators of the ass-wipe game of the series, CoD3. This game will sell out the ass even though it is destined to be an epic phail.

Pretty sure someone is doing a WWI game actually but I don't remember the details. Lemme look it up.

Call of Duty 3 was good. This will be decent, but not as good as COD 4 of course.

Well that's since video games first came out. there are like 8 for Xbox 360

so they added swimming to the game, not sure i care much at all about that new feature.

Even with everything I have read on this game in the last few days, I still stand by my original statement.

Treyarch = Epic phail.

I probably won't be getting this anyway, I'd rather just rank up in CoD4 for hella long.

Kinda intrigued by it.

Plus, i'm god with an M1 in CoD3.

I ain't liking it so far.

Watched it and felt a resounding "MEH" afterwards.

COD3 is the WORST game in the series.

It is an average at best game and if it wasn't labled as Call of Duty 3 it would have failed in sales as well. The only reason that game sold is because they leeched off of Infinity Wards greatness.

The fact that Infinity Ward is not developing this is enough to make me not give a shit.

Not that I'm very thrilled with Infinity Ward after their CoD4 patch, but they still manage to make a much better overall game.

Game looks pretty hot to me.

Hot indeed.

Because a WWI game would get boring 10,000,000,000 times faster than any WWII game due to standing in a trench shooting at the other trench all the time.
