Ted Dibiase's Partner revealed
From Rajah:
-- Ted DiBiase, Jr.'s mystery tag team part for his WWE World Tag Team title shot at the Night of Champions pay-per-view is expected to be DH Smith, who was pulled off the road in early May following an apparent injury angle at the egregious hands of JBL. Additionally, there is a fan report going around online saying that some fans met Ted DiBiase, Jr. at a local establishment down the road from the arena in Oakland after the 6/9 Raw. When asked who his partner will be at Night of Champions he simply said "the son of a Bulldog," who you'd have to assume is DH Smith. On WWE.com last week, the Ted DiBiase hyperlink on the match preview page took you to DH Smith's bio page on the website when clicked. Frankly i'm not surprised. |
See that's who I thought it was going to be, but I wasn't sure if they were going to do it or not. They should work very well together.
|
DH Smith was my first guess. It makes sense, given that he's on the RAW brand, he's young, he's third generation, and DiBiase was part of his "Hard Foundation 2.0" stable in the developmental leagues.
The kid has a really bright future, so it would be nice if the WWE can stop treating him like a jobber (despite Smith's wellness violation[s]). I mean, the guy deserves punishment, but what's the point of having this young talented kid around if you don't do anything with him. However, a lot of these "clues" are pretty stupid things to go by, seeing as DiBiase is not actually behind the angle (and might have just been misleading fans), and the WWE can change their mind at any minute. Also, it's silly for the WWE to give it away with an error on their website. Either way, Ted DiBiase should win the World Tag Team Championship in his debut match. Fuck, I would mark out for Paul London & Brian Kendrick chasing DiBiase and the nephew of their mentor's rival. |
Well in the article it said "additionally", so i'm assuming their not just basing this off the fan and website thing but inside imformation as well.

Bleh. DH is bland as fuck from what I've seen. Maybe we'll see something decent from him in this role

I think he will grow on people when he is paired with DiBiase. |
I hope you're right Noid. :y:

What does it matter? Coz this time next year one will be on his way to nowhere and the other will be... nowhere. :shifty:

I've said it before, Smith and Dibiase win the belts. Defend against Cryme Tyme the next week, Cryme Tyme thinks it's bullshit and steals the belts. Cody-Core can't get a rematch until shit's sorted out. Instant three-team fued. Plus, Cryme Tyme stealing from Ted Dibiase would be awesome.
|
Wouldn't surprise me if, thanks to this "leak", they opt for Carlito or somebody else and Smith gets his push cancelled, all thanks to the internet!
|
Hey! Carlito holding a belt?! Now THAT'S cool. :D

YOu shouldn't need a spoiler tag in a thread about a spoiler

The way they put DH Smith out there reminds me of when Cena and Orton were first introduced to WWE audience. They were put out there, we were told who they were. But they were bland as fuck, and wearing jobber tights going no where fast. No character, just "Hi, we are new baby faces here to wrestle for you."

It would be awesome if Dibiase Jr lead them on into thinking it was his dad, IRS, or Virgil when he ''bought'' Cody Rhodes to turn on Hardcore and then starting a 2nd Generation Stable called Generation Next with Carlito, DH Smith, and some1 else.

Dibiase Jr. should buy Cryme Tyme.

So is he gonna be big like Teddy, or big like for real?

Hopefully - they start turning heads pretty soon (as opposed to giving heads! tee hee hee! sorry, can't help myself) |
Teddy? Teddy? TEDDY HART, where are you?????
Call up TJ Wilson btw. ffs. One thing about Teddy Hart, he wouldnt be percieved as BLAND. He'd fix up that stables dynamic for certain. |
Oh god, I thought this angle was actually going to go somewhere. Instead we get The Bland Bulldog. I mean, what's the point of dragging this out if it's not going to be a good twist?
As for Smith - he's just a poor version of his father. Who's already on one wellness violation. I'd rather have Chris Masters. |
That's because you're thinking like an idiot.
|
To be fair, if the wellness policy had been around, Bulldog probably would have received his first warning in the same amount of time as his son.

The ideal Next Gen stable would be Teddy Hart, Carlito, DH Smith, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase Jr, and Randy Orton. If the writing team took them seriously and had them pretty much wreak havoc and run the show like the nWo did, it could be fucking awesome.
