Question for the RoH fans of the board.

So if both of you could be so kind. I'm basically wondering, in your honest opinion, what there besy show has been. Top to bottom and likewise what was their best match. Top 5 could work if you wanted to go that rout. I got a guy I'm wanting to show some RoH to and figured I get some suggestions. Sooooooo...yeah.

Let me watch a few of the more recent shows, and I'll get back to you. As of right now though, pound for pound, I'd go with their best show being
Glory By Honor V Night 2- New York, NY 9/16/06.

Best match is harder to judge. The Jimmy Jacobs /BJ Whitmer cage match holds a special place in my heart, but it was a match a year in the making, and probably wouldn't come across as good as a quick viewing. The Danielson/KENTA matches are great, and so were the Danielson/Morishima matches. I've heard great things about some of the Briscoes/Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black matches, but I haven't seen them all yet.

Off the top of my head I have a bias for Danielson/McGuinness at Unified but that's more than likely because it happened over here. Nuclear heat for that one though.

GBH V N2 is a very good shout for best show. Dunno I'll come back later when I'm not at work :shifty:

Obviously great matches would be those 2 Punk/Joe matches

Watch the DragonGate 6 man from Chicago, it was at the Wrestlemania weekend on the first night, fucking great match

1. Davey Richards vs. Jack Evans
2. Adam Pearce vs. Delirious
3. Christopher Daniels vs. Colt Cabana vs. Jimmy Jacobs
4. Homicide & Samoa Joe vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe
5. Austin Aries & Roderick Strong vs. Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli (World Tag Team Title Match)
6. Naomichi Marufuji vs. Nigel McGuinness (GHC Heavyweight Title Match)
7. Bryan Danielson vs. KENTA (ROH World Title Match)

Yeah, that's a hot card right there.

This osunds like a good one to show a guy, onyl problem is it might be too good.

Punk Joe are good yeah with out a doubt.

As far as the Dragon Gate match though, it's not RoH stlye at all. I mean, I'm trying to get a guy into RoH, not Dagon Gate. It's a hot match yeah, but not reall what I'm going for. Ya know?

That is an incredible line up

Put on Final Battle 2005, show him Danielson vs. Marufuji

and Low Ki vs. KENTA

Destor 06-23-2008 10:14 AM

Low Ki/KENTA is a great match. Low Ki is crazy under-rated btw. Some of the best psychology on the indy circut...well in TNA now. BUT WHATEVER.

Innovator 06-23-2008 10:28 AM

He got a lot better when he was in ROH, that was his last big match and he looked great losing.

That match was not that great, IMO. Marafuji kinda sucked back then, especially compared to where he is now.

Yes. He's also one of the most versitale guys in the business. He can mat wrestle, he very good with submissions, his strikes are brutal, he can fly, and on top of that, there is the aformentioned psychology.

McLegend 06-23-2008 07:51 PM

His strikes are beyond Brutal.
