Raw-Batista

I vaguely remember the days a few year ago when Batista was over on Raw as part of Evolution. These are generally from Youtube clips and what not since i didnt have [More of] an interest back then.

I noticed how lean and mean he was, he didnt have the nice guy attitude where he decimated his opponents. He then moved over to Smackdown, he seemed to be the same as he was over on Raw, only not as much of "the bad guy".

Eddie Guerrero and Batista where great together, one of my favorite moments was usually with him and Eddie with their segments. Of course, while this was still going strong, Eddie passed away. From thereon in, Batista seemed quite stale and weak, even while challenging for the title, he didnt have me persuaded.

But on Raw just gone, damn. He looked ruthless, and of course, was ruthless. I just hope it wasnt for that segment with Edge and that he continues that trend in the weeks to come, i might actually take a proper interest then!

Since One Night Stand Batista has seemed like a new man to me. Much more interesting these days.

He's bound to get one at some point.

True!

He was more vicious when he was in Evolution because he was still trying to earn his spot. I remember when he was looked at as the weak member of the group, with Randy getting great reactions and having that long IC Title run, Batista just wasn't getting heat. It was after he started really giving it to people in the ring that he started to get over. His mannerisms were more pointed, his clotheslines and spinebusters were scary powerful. He seemed to lose that after WrestleMania 21.

^ Sounds similar to Cena.

Cena had some great matches on smackdown! when he was a heel. I really liked his feud with Brock and Benoit. Soon after a good "I Quit" Match at Judgement Day back in 2005, he started to limit his wrestling abilities by his trademark maneuvers and went through a sudden shitty transition or something.

John Cena had lost it way before WrestleMania 21, if you ask me. After WrestleMania XX would seem more accurate to my view of Cena.

Also, I loved it when Batista was actually still technically a heel personality-wise, but he just aimed his bad-ass qualities at the bad guys. He seemed smarter than Triple H and Ric Flair, and he was the Road Runner to their collective Wile E. Coyote.

A heel turn would greatly freshen Batista up, but if they can just tweak his character to make him cooler, like he was back during his RAW rise, I would be a very happy camper.
