so what happened with the PS3 2.40 Firmware upgrade?

Apparently it caused some issues with some PS3s. Not widespread, some claim there PS3s froze, some claim it bricked them. THey pulled it when it happened, and now 2.41 is out, and it's resolved.

Yea, WWKD beat me to it. I got 2.40 first time around and had no problems whatsoever, but I upgraded to 2.41 anyways. Works like a charm.

When I updated mine earlier is said the newest update was 2.36 or something. :|

You probably updated yours after 2.40 was pulled, and before 2.41 was put up. Since2.40 was pulled, 2.36 or whatever it was would have been the most current.

Odd. It didn't prompt me to a new one, but the second I went to sign in (Normally, it TELLS me I'm not signed in), it prompted me to update. So yeah. I'm a few minutes from 2.41. Sweet. Is there a list of features?

By the way, from what I've heard, Uncharted is the next game to officially get the patch to have trophies. Also, it's confirmed that both the PS3 version of Bioshock and (I believe this was announced, too) LittleBigPlanet will have trophy support.

I really wanted to have that motivation to try Uncharted (as good as I heard it was, I've never played it, and was always busy with other games to pick it up. This may be the chance I wanted to have). I'm betting the Trophy support in Bioshock will get trophy whores to grab it even if they thought it was late for the party. And finally, it's yet ANOTHER reason I'm VERY curious about LBP. I'm really interested in the game as it is.

How retarded do you have to be to need trophy support to play uncharted?

I didn't exactly say that I NEEDED it to want to play it, but it's further motivation.

The addition is cool nonetheless.

I agree. I'm not really excited at all about the trophies.
