That does sound a little more like his old ROH promos. That's what I thought was funny anyways when he wanted to shake Batista's hand in the first place. But this isn't ROH, so Botchtista isn't gonna shake his hand.

I am pulling for Punk just based on that fact that I think it would be good for Raw to have a new person carrying the belt.

After watching Kane get popped for getting a chair, and watching the reaction when Punk pushed Batista...I'm thinking he would be a great heel champ.

I think WWE realized how good this promo was by showing it at the ppv.

Now if only they would let him do that more!

He's got at least another few weeks with the title now, the only guy I can see him feuding with for the next PPV is Jericho, as HBK is meant to be out with an 'injury' if this plays out, Micheals could cost Jericho the match. Meaning Punk would of had the title for a solid 2 months, this then leads into maybe another JBL feud, and then I hope a Orton/Punk epic.

Right now the plans seem to be laid for Punk to have it for at least a few more months, as there's no heels who I think are in the position to take it

Maybe it's just me, but I got the vibe last night at the show that Punk may turn heel himself in the near future.
