Is WWE starting to lossen their safe move policy?

It seems like more wrestling moves are starting to find their ways on to WWE tv. As I recall, last night we saw a half nelson suplex from Regal on Punk (that looked fucking devastating). That is the best recent example, but I seem to recall a few more moves here and there popping up. O I remember now, Jericho actaully broke out the lion tamer a week or 2 ago on Paul London.

They've been letting loose on the more dangerous moves for a while now, it's just starting to snowball faster.

Juan 07-29-2008 05:58 PM

I like it.

Destor 07-29-2008 05:59 PM

Still no piledrivers though.

BigDaddyCool 07-29-2008 06:00 PM

Well beisdes Tombstones.

Destor 07-29-2008 06:01 PM

They so dont count

Londoner 07-29-2008 06:03 PM

They were probably just doing that to add to the chaotic feel somehow, i'm sure it'll go back to normal now there's a GM.

Team Sheep 07-29-2008 06:09 PM

Evan Bourne.

BigDaddyCool 07-29-2008 06:12 PM

What about Evan Bourne?

Xero 07-29-2008 06:12 PM

He sucks, that's what.

Team Sheep 07-29-2008 06:35 PM

Shooting star press, that's what.

Hanso Amore 07-29-2008 06:38 PM

London and Bourne have been Shooting star pressing it too

Maybe with the recent "changes" they are letting the guys push the limits a bit, thats the shit that worked in the Last boom.

Shit, FOley going off the Cell brought alot of new fans in. They never saw that before.

Innovator 07-29-2008 06:49 PM

I popped for the half nelson tazplex

Actually it wasn't that bad, Punk went for the backflip root, now Van Dam, he used to fucking kill himself with that one.

But yeah, they do seem to be letting folks do more, which is better for the product as it makes me actually want to watch the matches

The last boom also didn't have a wellness policy behind it. Higher risks=more painkiller problems, to say nothing of every other drug one might put oneself on to cope.

Funky Fly 07-30-2008 01:07 AM

I want to see a spinning piledriver.

Mr. Nerfect 07-30-2008 08:23 AM

I'm so glad that with Evan Bourne doing the Shooting Star Press, that they are now letting Paul London bust out the London Calling. That's a beautiful move that could sell merchandise.

The Regalplex has been busted out by Regal on occasion, but it was good to see it remain in his arsenal. The return of the Liontamer has also been really sick. Now if only we can have Gregory Helms bust out The Vertebreaker when he returns (on smaller opponents).

BigDaddyCool 07-30-2008 10:29 AM

Vladimir Kozlov has been doing overhead belly-to-belly suplexes as well, those were banned back when Brock Lesnar was around.

I kinda like Vlad.

Rammsteinmad 07-31-2008 09:10 AM

I recall seeing that Lion Tamer and just marking out at how bent London's body was. Old-school.

Hanso Amore 07-31-2008 09:22 AM

What was/now is Vlad finisher?

Not completely sure, but I think it is the battering ram head butt.

You have to rotate the d-pad 360 degrees and press the punch buttons

I am divided on this topic.

On one hand the policy made sense because these dangerous moves cause more injuries and more ppl to be off tv.

On the other hand allowing this makes tv more entertaining and u get more exciting wrestlers on the show.

On the third hand, u can have exciting wrestlers who are safe like Rey Mysterio, they just gotta know what they are doing.

So I dont really know, this is a difficult issue but I think it should be on a person on person basis. Like if Wrestler X screws up a move, he should be told to never use dangerous moves again, but if wrestler Y is always using them no problem, then he should be told to keep using them.

You forgot about wrestler Z you insensitive clod.

You have three hands?

So Rey is safe...Why is he injured all the time?

Besides, the safest wrestlers fuck up ONCE in a while. If Wrestler X has an otherwise clean record, should he lose his standing?

Still think the piledriver Dreamer gave to Van Dam was one of the best in recent years. Noone sells a spike like that.
