Name some cool things I can do with Vista.

I have vista, can anybody tell me some cool things I can do with it? I want like cool backgrounds which move... maybe some cool widgets?

Just thought some people here might know of cool things :y:

You don't want any of that.

Uninstalling it, that was the coolest thing I ever dd.

If you're going to keep using it though, video backgrounds and widgets kill your PCs resources. Avoid them at all costs.

I love Windows Vista.

The only problem I have with Vista so far is that it no longer treats sound from your computer as it's own "source" or whatever so there is no longer a way to record sound directly from your computer.

I have some cool gadgets ;)

Go get some really old hardware and try to use it.

Bad Company 08-11-2008 09:42 PM

why would you want to do that?

Just enjoy vista for it's awesomeness.

^ I admit it. I laughed.

Vista already uses enough virtual memory, don't take up anymore with widgets.

A moving background is a resource whore, so I wouldn't recommend one. I don't have Vista personally and just can't be assed to bother installing it. I've got XP and for everything I use it for, it runs fine.

I'm not familiar with widgets at all, though.

Wipe your ass with it. That's the coolest thing you could ever do.

Seriously, anything you can do in Vista, you can do in XP too. I have most of the Vista screensavers already, most of the desktop backgrounds (although I rarely use them), and if I ever want the same performance that I had when I had Vista installed, I can just dip my laptop in corrosive acid and then throw it from my third-story window, followed by a harsh beating with an aluminum baseball bat.

mininova.org has some guides up on the front page as of right now, if you use torrents.
