The home-straight for festival season.....RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!
 

Yeah, V this weekend, and Reading/Leeds the following. The two biggest festivals in England, aside from Glastonbury. (Which was the most incredible 5 days of my life.)


So, anyone going either? If so, who are you looking forward to checking out?

I'm going both. Roots Manuva, Chemical Brothers and Prodigy are my top 3 W2C's for V, and fucking RAGE at Leeds.

Every country except the US gets such amazing festivals where all the non-shitty bands get to play. (with exception of a few shitty bands that do)

I would love to go to Reading or Leeds, or Big Day Out. Fuck lollapalooza and crap like that.

I'm off to V on Saturday, but the lineup isn't that fantastic. Muse should be pretty good (although the last time I saw them they bored me to the point I went off to watch the Nouvelle Vague) but there are some good "Festie" bands for sing a longs (Futureheads, Maximo Park, Alanis :love: ) The Sunday lineup is much better, but I agreed to go with a mate so we're only going Saturday.

Reading is gonna be pretty superb, Rage, Queens of the Stone Age, Metallica....TENACIOUS D :love: plus I get to see Be Your Own Pet just before they split up, so that'll be pretty gold. There are plenty of good bands around the whole weekend, so should be a good one.

I saw Queens of the Stone age recently, they are decent live. metallica is meh ( I think I am biased since I hate them ever since the Napster shit happened/Newstead left).

Tenacious D is the shit live. I love them. Very fun show.

We have awesome festivals here what are you on about req?

We have pretty terrible festivals here, what are YOU on about? It's usually better to just see a certain band's show than it is to go to any festivals here.

Some of the US festivals are fucking awesome, Bonnaroo and Coachella always have amazing lineups, I would sacrifice a ticket for Glastonbury, Reading, V and all the rest just to go to Coachella.
