does he come up with one and give it to the writers (or whomever) or do the writers write them...

Aside from one or two, he made up the lot. He actually got a bit pissed when they put the false ones in.

I would have to think that they were chosen by Matt. They are funny to read. I know when he comes out those are the first things that I look at.

Maybe the ones in the beginning when they first started the gimmick.

The more recent ones have been worse, IE not as interesting as they were. Hopefully they step up again.

Actually all the first ones were true. It was somewhere in the middle where they were false. His website will probably tell you which.
