The piledriver is still around...just not in the WWE.

i've always really like the pulling piledriver that mick foley (and i'm sure others) used to do.

Some professional wrestling archaeologists say the piledriver evolved into a modified gut-wrench power bomb, due to the nature of the similar stresses placed on the performer's body, as well as the end result (a capability of being performed as a finish or mid-match).

Others say the piledriver went extinct when, millions of years ago, a large meteor hit the earth and caused an enormous cloud of dust to block out the sun.

Nothing beats RVD taking a Piledriver.

The last one I ever saw in "WWE" (ECW) was fucking mint.

The Cradle Piledriver is awesome.

Sadly, the whole piledriver fear is probably based on newer guys simply not being able to do it right.
