God seriously, Jericho has become so fucking dull and boring. It's like he took lessons from Randall Keith Orton.

EVERY FUCKING WEEK, it's like him and JBL are competiting for most repetitous promos.

He tries to be all SERIOUS, but always looks like he just spent an hour in the bathroom trying to pass a turd.

i think that's the point. granted last night was the first time i've watched in a while so i really have no idea, but it seemed as though he was trying to sound deliberately monotone and just not give a fuck. i was loving it.

This is what the WWE has done with alot of their heels like this: Make them SOOO antagonistic that it's unbelievable.

Not that Jericho can't pull it off (he has), but it seems like Santino is the only "comedy heel" they bothered to make in the past 5 years. It's been either cocky heel or the pure evil heel (not sure how to really explain this in words. Just see Brock Lesner's heel turn circa 2003 and you'll see my point).

Jericho was becoming far to cheesy as a babyface. This freshens him up.

But seriously, last night Jericho broke out of the staring blankly not showing emotion thing and was clearly all happy and basking in the love.

I think every promo he has cut has just looked poorly acted out for about a month now. Those promos with Michaels were like 2 stoners in a school play. I just don't think he is selling whatever character he is meant to be right now.

I thought his promo last night was great. He's the Champ, he's in charge, and if it takes him 3 minutes to take off his suit, then fuck you, he's the Champ.

Yeah, Jericho's been good. I was hoping that either A. They would have turned Jericho and Michaels into the centerpeice for a huge program and basically divide the company over Ric Flair or B. They would have destroyed each other at Unforgiven like Superman and Doomsday and both been out for several months.

Jericho was great last night, maybe took a bit long at times in the promo, but i felt it was just him selling the injuries from last night still.

If you cannot enjoy brilliant, heel, revitalised, fresh direction Chris Jericho as World Heavyweight Champion, you should just stop watching professional wrestling. Jericho and Michaels' promos have consistently been the best thing about WWE programming each week, and the story they have told has been brilliant.

In case you missed it, Jericho is deliberately trying to tone himself down. He's doing it because he's sick of the fans, their double-standards, and he's sick of Shawn Michaels. It's really surreal to imagine this feud all started because of a lie Shawn Michaels told Jericho. Every sin has consequences.

WWE has more or less driven me off as a customer and as a viewer. Jericho's win interested me, and his promo kept me on the TV. I'd call that compelling, as it compelled me to watch and not turn off the TV. At least, for another 10-15 minutes, when their determination to keep me from enjoying wrestling shone through.

It would also help if they didn't have his promos go on and on and on and on for hours before something ELSE actually HAPPENS!! We get an hour of Jericho, then half an hour of Cade saying something.

Jesus, I was SO excited when Adamle came out on his latest promo because (1) I like what they are doing with Adamle and he's doing SO well in that position right now, and (2) It meant that SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENED during a Jericho promo. Granted, the HBK/Jericho thing at Summerslam was awesome, too, but I'm seeing they're becoming far between.

Its just a storyline, gameplan? stupid faggot!

Don't get me wrong, I think he is excellent. Not as good as most of you believe, but still good. On the mic as well. But there is toning it down, and cutting a shit, repeated uninforming promo.

Without going back and checking, I'd probably agree with this.

What? Bret, Shawn, HHH, Austin, Rock, Foley, Taker, Angle. I'd grant exceptions of maybe Big Show and Lesnar, but that is the biggest talent of that period, and all cut believable fluent promo's all the time.

I don't think it's absurd. Compare any of these past 6 weeks of promos with any from any of the people I mentioned. I don't think Jericho's mic work is that of a 15 year veteran, in comparison.
