What radio station do you listen to?

When I was living in the US I listed to Hot 93.7 in Connecticut all the time, really enjoyed it. Still listen to it every now and then online.

What station do you listen to? Or do you just stick to the CDs or iPod?

Downunder 10-01-2008 07:17 AM

Triple J - the greatest radio station in the World.

Downunder 10-01-2008 07:17 AM

Commercial radio sucks donkey balls.

Big Fat Mike 10-01-2008 12:41 PM

Seton Hall's Butt-Pirate radio.

Cause nobody else plays any hardcore, ot decent metal anymore.

ROCK 96.7 - They play hard rock, metal and some hardcore music.
ROCK 98.5 - Pretty much Sacramento's version of the same thing.

Funky Fly 10-01-2008 09:07 PM

K97 97.3, The local Classic rock station, because it's the only tolerable radio station in town.

If I had an iPod dock like I did in my old car, it'd be exclusively that, though.

Juan 10-01-2008 09:17 PM

Also, THE HAWK 104.1 for classic rock.

Funky Fly 10-01-2008 10:04 PM

Also gotta mention in case any K97 DJs just happen to be posting here. AC/DC and Led Zep aren't the only 2 bands on the planet.

Gotta disagree.

The radio stations I listened to in Buffalo had huge libraies. Both the staeside and canadian versions of The Edge were phenomenal stations for discovering new artists.

Yeah, you've got commercials to deal with, but those ads also let me know about tons of live shows, and other evets I would have missed otherwise.

I guess it really depends where you go. I live in a ski resort town now, and cant stand the radio stations. I have a bigger library of music on my ipod, than any of the stations here. And there isn't a single modern rock, or rap station. Terrible.

Juan 10-01-2008 11:34 PM

I'm sorry U-W :(

The rap/hip-hop/r&b stations out here suck. Same music over and over on both stations. Every time a new songs comes out, they play it to death. So I really don't listen to them. The one rock station we had, was turned into a Mexican music station about 3 years ago. I was stuck listening to the Sacramento Rock station (about 1 hour away from where I live, so the signal wasn't that great). Miraculously, the station was brought back about 3 weeks ago, so I am now a happy camper.

The Genius 10-01-2008 11:52 PM

live 105.3 the bay area's alternative/rock station

CSL 10-02-2008 01:30 AM

Talk radio. But I listen to the radio maybe 3 times a year. Listen to the podcast of Russell Brand's radio show sometimes too

Juan 10-02-2008 01:44 AM

Yeah I listen to a lot of sports radio also. KHTK Sports 1140 :D

U-Warrior 10-02-2008 04:03 AM

Oh yeah, since the radio stations suck here, I listen to ESPN radio. Colin Cowherd, Mike and Mike, and Stephen A. Smith shows are always gold.

At least 8 for me. Fucking radio.

mitchables 10-06-2008 04:32 AM

CDs in the car, iPod everywhere else. I should make an effort to fit in some radio listening though, since even though I do not enjoy most of what is on the radio, I feel like I am missing out on some kind of cultural experience of being a radio listener.

Loose Cannon 10-09-2008 10:57 AM

when I lived in NY, I listened to Z100 (when they used to play good music) and K-rock and 92.7 LIR (Long Island Radio although it's dead now :( )

In Charlotte, NC, I listen to 95.7 Kiss FM only. I mostly just play cd's now that I made, although I have a free 3 month XM Radio, so I listen to ESPN and the Alternative 90's Rock station on there (Lucy)
