Lets be honest, this will probably suck but an adaptation or loose translation is FAR more original than a lessened remake, made cheaply and within 20 years of the original. Even if still unoriginal.

I actually believe 'Persia is in good hands. Then again I have hope for Dragonball so take my words at that standard. Jake's lookin thug'd out as the Prince, though. And I always thought it was a 'filmable' game.

I just count on movie spinoffs of video games sucking. The number of good video game movies are few, if any (I'm SURE there are some, but I can't manage to remember one).

LOL. The RE movies were utter shite. Plus, the Wizard wasn't really a video game movie. Not in the sense being discussed. Mortal Kombat was pretty entertaining, though the fact that I don't play the games and love Chris Lambert may bias me.

Double Dragon and Mario Brothers are fun movies, though they're cheesey as fuck. I mean, the Mario movie had a fucked up plot, but you're talking about a game where plumbers ride dinosaurs, and eat mushrooms and leaves to get stronger.

I liked Hitman, but I have no idea how it translates to the video games.

Also, Street Fighter 2 was pretty good, if you count anime.

Oh, and if you count the Wizard, the Last Starfighter HAS to be on the list.

There are a shitload of amazing Asian and Latin-American films for Hollywood to remake and destroy before they're really out of ideas.

KK, I am okay with adding The Last Starfighter to the list. The RE series was added because of my undying love for all things Milla Jovovich. George Romero classics they were not, but what they lacked in Romero's keen innovation, they made up for in Milla wearing short things.

I liked Street Fighter....actually have the movie poster hanging in my living room.

Doom was good just to past the time. I still watch it when its on TBS all the time.

I loved Dead or Alive at the theater. Sure it was a shitty movie but it might be one of my favorite shitty movies

I actually really enjoyed Bloodrayne also....actually went and picked it up right after I watched it but then again I think I enjoyed it beause of all the blood and gore.

Sure non of those movies really live up to the story of the games but I enjoyed them just by forgetting about the games for a while....and because I enjoy watching bad movies.

RE1 was a cool movie because it strayed away from the games and built its own spin on things. RE:A didn't do it for me because it started to use the games too literally. I didn't see the third yet, but I'm looking to.

MK was awesome, the second was terrible.

What's up with Halo, CoD, Metal Gear Solid, and Guitar Hero. They need movies.

Guitar Hero would basically be Rocky but with a guitar instead of Apollo Creed.

Silent Hill was Good. The story was a good fit.

RE 1 was great i thought, and had they ignored the games and contined in the next few, could have been huge. What made RE:A horrible was the pandering to gamers (Jill wearing the same outfit, nemesis etc) I havent even see the thrid one yet, looks way too shitty.

SF was sweet when I was 8 but now I see how horrible it was! :)

Doom was ok, but you cant make a shittymovie based on an iconic game. its ok to take the Silent Hills, but Doom is uber popular, 20 years old, and people expect more.



Nothing is worse that House of the Dead, which is the single worst movie of all time. I dare anyone to dispute that.

The Resident Evil movies are fun for a laugh. DOA is moronically stupid, but it's also really pleasing to wach for the asthetics. I'm looking forward to the announced Bioshock movie.

This was an interview from August...I believe I read a couple weeks ago that this definitely isn't going to happen though.

Pretty much be a modern day version of The Wizard. Bad ass movie that is.
