Who is the man in the bright pink jacket?

The man can usually be spotted in the front row of WWE and back in the day ECW as well events (possibly TNA and WCW too) wearing a bright pink windbreaker. His wife wears a bright lime green windbreaker. He is bald, pretty tan, and I want to know how he gets his tickets, whether he knows somebody or if he is a billionaire who just tours with WWE or what. Whenever I've gone to an event in Ohio, be it house show or TV, be it Columbus, Dayton, or Cleveland, he's there. In the front row.

You can see him stand up at aroun 0:50. I NEED TO KNOW WHO HE IS!

Did a Google search and this came up.

Sorry I'm at work so I can't access the page, but from the Google preview it may help...

Vladmir is a great guy, he attends most of the Ohio shows and works with HVW and I believe, worked with OVW at some point. He's a great guy to talk to and you'll never see a wrestler ignore him.

Go to any ROH show, he'll come through the front door like normal fans, talk to fans in line and go inside and he's always taken to the back by the wrestlers or management, I've seen him sit on the balcony with the talent and come back and sit with the fans for the main event.

One of the better fans in wrestling.

I thought Vladimir was the tan, fairly ripped guy w/ the top who attended a lot of MSG shows in the 1980s.

Pink Jacket man has got to be someonoe else . . . or else the tan guy is someone else. Bah, I dunno.

There's a bald super fan with glasses who always wears a pink shirt. And he's not Vladimir. This guy usually has front row tickets at all shows in Ohio, like Great American Bash '95, Heatwave '98, and Heatwave '99. Maven almost kicked him in the head at Wrestlemania 18.

thedamndest 10-08-2008 11:25 PM

Now I need to know who this "Vladimir" is in addition to Pink Jacket Man.

0:50 He is holding a sign that says "Watch Meng Get Stung By Sting" and there is a clear shot of his face. Also he is visible to the camera throughout the entire match. WHO IS THIS MAN?

thedamndest 10-09-2008 01:08 AM

This is from the ROH board:

"i'm blanking a little bit, but i'm pretty sure his name is Lenny.

i believe he moved to florida and has a family now, and once in awhile takes in a wrestling show. a good friend of mine was very close with him, so the source of information is pretty solid."

I doubt that's correct. He was at the ECW/Smackdown in Columbus last month. Unless he just happened to be visiting family in the area and decided to take in a wrestling show, it seems more likely "Lenny" still lives in the Ohio area.

thedamndest 10-09-2008 01:21 AM

From http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/lofi...hp?t41687.html

"There used to be a couple who'd always be seen on WWF shows too.. they'd wear neon [yellow and pink] wind breakers and both had buzzcuts with glasses [yes, the woman did too.. either that or very short].<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah, they were in a backstage skit on RAW once, too. I forget who was in it but some wrestler was in the parking garage and asked them directions or something. So obviously they are somehow connected to somebody in WWE.
I think that they may be friends of HBK, because they always had signs for him and he gave them a hug after his match with Sid in San Antonio at the '97 Rumble."

So Lenny is a different superfan NOT the pink jacket guy. Back to square one.

Why so serious?

Seriously though (pardon the pun) why the obsession with the guy?

Lux 10-09-2008 02:02 AM

I don't see this mans appeal.

Tazz Dan 10-09-2008 07:17 AM

Weren't they at Wrestlemania this year or last year?

I noticed them. Very bright outfits.

Tazz Dan 10-09-2008 07:18 AM

Also, I realise this doesn't answer your question, but I'm intrigued now also.

Because they've been at every single show I've ever been to, be it WWE or ECW house show tv or PPV all over Ohio dating back at least to 1994 when I went to my first live event. I don't remember going to any WCW shows, but the video evidence clearly indicates that the man goes to those too. Not only that, but clearly he shells out for the big PPVs, as we have seen him in the SS97 video and I haven't checked but you can probably catch him in others too. I just want some answers, Lux. I just want some answers.

anyone who paid a ticket to see Great American Bash 95 is really a diehard fan

Understandable mate. :)

Destor 10-10-2008 12:45 AM

I think he's just a really dedicated fan. Every company has one and WWE has several. There used to be a guy who went to all the PPVs and wore a tux, think he died though.

FourFifty 10-10-2008 02:30 AM

He's no Rick the Sign Guy, that's for damn sure.

Jeritron 10-10-2008 02:44 AM

What about the guy who looks like Rob Zombie and Dude Love in a blender? Usually at ECW and WWF shows in the NY, PA, and Boston areas.

We need to get on this too. I've been curious about it for YEARS

thedamndest 10-10-2008 12:31 PM

One site refers to that guy as "Faith No More Guy/Lenny."

5:05 There is a clear shot of the man in pink and his wife, aka the woman in bright yellow. They are in the front row right on the corner and are holding signs that say "Shawn's Cliq." The event emanated from from the then-Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. I had seats in the fourth row, and it was not my first time seeing the man in pink and his wife. For everybody in rows 1-3, you were allowed to take home a commemorative Summerslam '96 folding chair, and we had actually moved up to row three because there were two empty seats, but our ticket stubs did not permit us to leave the arena with the commemorative chairs, which I'm sure are in Vince's office to this day.

Jeritron 10-10-2008 02:19 PM

lol "the faith no more guy"

Kris P Lettus 10-11-2008 01:54 AM

Faith No More Guy and Hat Guy used to live in the Boiler room of ECW Arena..

Blue Demon 10-11-2008 03:59 PM

I was gonna bring up Hat Guy...lol....he was at like every ECW show.

Zen v.W.o. 10-11-2008 06:29 PM

Watch SummerSlam 97....when Bret has Taker around the post..faith no more guy is bitching at him, and vladmir is cheering bret on, telling shawn to "get back in there!!"

AKin3D 10-11-2008 11:54 PM

Dosen't Faith No More Guy grow pumpkins now and like holds or held the world record?

thedamndest 10-12-2008 05:41 PM

Guys, we are getting off topic here with all the other superfans. I am not content to identify this man merely as "The Man in the Pink Jacket." He's been involved in WWE/WCW/ECW for over 15, and wearing a bright pink jacket and there is not one trace of evidence as to who he is? I don't know how that can be. The man is not exactly Bruce Wayne trying to conceal his identity. HE'S WEARING A NEON PINK JACKET IN THE FRONT ROW!
