Alright, who's got Rumble 99? (Music)
 

I'm watching it right now and can anybody tell me what song/musical piece that is that plays right before the Rumble match. It plays over the whole video recap of the Austin/McMahon feud. I love that song and have heard it many times in wrestling and on other DVD's, including a Ty Cobb video package on the "All Century Team" baseball DVD

I regard that as one of the best PPV match buildup packages of all time. Love that song and have heard it a million times, can't help you much more than that though. Sorry

Ahhh, that was cool. The Attitude Era video packages were some of the best things WWE's ever produced.

It's called Native Son.

They used it a lot for video packages in the mid 90s, during the Shawn Michaels run especially. Not so much in the late 90s, when they started using rockier music so it's quite strange to hear that familiar tune playing over an Austin package when I'm used to seeing it set against backdrops of Michaels, Sid, Bret Hart et al.

I loved the video packages back then. In late 2000 they started bringing in the popular rock music like Saliva and all that shit. It basically happened when they brought Heat to MTV and stopped running Livewire and Superstars.

Those were the days though, when I'd get amped for a ppv match. Good looks on all those songs.

yea, they were amazing back then. I can't stand the days of rock music being the focal music now. it sucks. everything back then was like a fucking Greek epic

My favorite Rumble promo. Only song off that Kid Rock album i liked. I liked it cause they played it on a Ric Flair video. If anyone can find the Flair Cocky video, its fantastic and i'd love to see it again.

WrestleMania 18 videos where they used " Tear Away " by Drowning Pool was probably some of my favorites. I cant find any though.

they should have made wrestlemania 18 a triple threat match between them and jericho.
