Better Tag Team #5
The Road Warriors have fared well in this contest, but their last opponents will be the only men to have captured the WWE, WCW, ECW, and of course THE TNA Tag Team Titles! The last train runs straight through Dudleyville.

Was a fan of the Dudleys moreso when they were in the WWE. So I voted for them.

Even though I loved the Dudleys, LOD wins out by a large margin.

The Outsiders were the only team I thought could even come close to LOD. Stacey looks damn sexy, but LOD for sure.

Dudleys have become a mess, but I don't watch TNA so it doesn't affect me. While they were good, they were what tag teams ought to be. Not to take away from LOD, because I"m sure they'll win, but Dudleys get my vote this time.

I was a big Dudleys mark back in ECW and WWF, but still had to go with LOD.

1) The Road Warriors won AWA, NWA, and WWF tag team titles when it meant something. Dudley's won the ECW title when it meant something, and were part of the highest point of the WWF tag team title, but that was in a large part due to Edge and Christan already feuding with the Hardy Boyz The Dudley's won the WCW when it meant shit and the TNA titles don't mean anything either. The Dudleys were at the right place at the right time. The Warriors made themselve a legitamate draw. The Dudleys came along in ECW right when it was already taking off, and they rode a wave they didn't create. Sure the dudleys cussed people out and told mom's that they taught their daughter how to suck dick in ECW, but they weren't what made ECW ECW at the time. Also, when the Dudley's came into WWE, E&C v the Hardys was already going and the Dudley again were at the right place at the right time. I'm not saying the dudley suck. They are a good team that was very lucky and made to look like legends. The Road Warriors are legends. |
I think you have severely undersold the Dudleyz impact in the WWE upon their arrival. In the year 2000 there were teams like the New Age Outlaws, Too Cool, The Acolytes, RTC, Godfather/Val Venis, Viscera/Mideon, The Hollys, Kane/X-Pac, and probably some more. But when the Dudleyz got there they immediatley jumped the line and went into the high profile, unprecedented (in the WWE) tables match at the Royal Rumble with the Hardyz, and the match at Wrestlemania with the Hardyz and E&C. The fans HATED Bubba. That's not just being in the right place at the right time.

No, I said they were a good team. All the other teams you mentioned were ok teams, or in the case of the Outlaws, a little past their prime.

I guess Kane/X-Pac was done by the time the Dudleyz came around also.

Yeah, how did that even happen? I kinda thought they got paired together and were over and they just continued way longer than was ever intended. It would have been alright short term and if Kane had turned on Pac instead of being a bitch and saying "Suck it."

Ok, I had a huge ass post, but the stupid computer closed my window, so I'll just keep this simple. It's easier to build a road than to do the upkeep that follows. In other word LOD had the hardship of building the idea of what a tag team should be, and The Boyz have the hardship of making sure the idea stayed there. The Boyz might not be the best at wrestling. Though they're far from the worst. (Give Mark credet for even being able to move in ECW) They one up LOD on mic skills. And both have great achivements all over the world. Though I can't recall LOD ever going to India. The Dudley Boyz have managed to capture gold in japan LOD never did, which I think is impressive, though I'm sure I'll hear "different time, different culter." LOD won the NWA International Tag Team Championship in All Japan Pro Wrestling, that sounds like Japan to me.
