Just wanted to know whats the best way to make money nowadays in WOW.

Havent played much of the first expansion either. I know I did well with some ore and some of the gems and motes you get from the deposits.

What is good farm money though? Perhaps off mobs while levelling to 70?

At 70, Ilse of Quel'Danas daily quests.

Cloth. It's relatively easy to farm and usually sells well.

At 70 it's all about dalies, which can easily bring 70-100G per day. With them in place prices tend to be jacked up now.

Also, herbing seems to be pretty big now with players going inscription. On my server, anyway, Silverleaf and Peacebloom alone had been going for upwards of 20g/stack. Really depends on the server, though.

Amount of dailies they put in now helps loads, considering you can do upto 25 daily quests per character.

With the dailies comes the added extras of getting uncommon quality items which you can disenchant/sell, same with netherweave cloth.

One thing ive been doing the past 2 months though is scouring the Auction House for Jaggal Pearls. One of my alts is a Jewelcrafter. People sell Jaggal Pearls for anything between 20-60s on my server, if i buy them and make them into Purified ones, each one makes a profit of 40s+. It may seem small, but it soon adds up!

But to be honest, the best way would probably be to find any quests you havent completed at max-level, since you generally get 11g per quest hand in - But this close to WotLK, it might not be worth it.

My bankalt has auctioned off about 90% of the contents now though, so im ready for WotLK myself.

Dailys for sure. If you do all 25 a day you'll end up with almost 400 g if you do them with empty bags.

Are you only doing Quel Danas dailies? Cause you can do up to 25. I get assloads of gold from dailies.

I just do the QD ones now, 100g a day is fine unless I really need something, then I do 25 each on both my mage and hunter. If both 70's didn't have an epic flyer it would be a different story tho, would be doing 25 a day on both.

the best way is to level up a hunter who's a miner/herbalist, keybind each tracking and fly around BEM pressing each button farminig it all and sell it. I don't do this personally, but a guy in my guild makes about 4000g a day doing it. A hunter so you can ice trap mobs, or put your pet on them, as you mine, then feign dead and fly away.

I made 5k gold in 3 days from inscription the day it came out (this includes subtracting the herbs I bought weeks in advance for this purpose), there are a lot of times the market is going to go crazy on a particular item, and preparing in advance and exploiting it is the easiest way to make gold. For example if a new arena season is coming, stockpile a bunch of enchanting mats and gems, and sell them all the day of the new season.

I also have about 80k gold in my guild bank, and after my guild fell apart there's only about 5 or 6 people left in the guild to share it among (I'm GM). I also have 25k of my own gold.
