Guitar Hero controller Question
 

So I have the wireless guitar that came with GH3 for the 360 right? I've read that the instruments for RB2 and GH4 are going to be interchangeable, but my question is, will the guitar I have work on both RB2 and GH4?

Nah. I tried hooking up my modem to the 360 but nothing happened.

Did you test the connection? Do you have High-Speed Internets to begin with?

Yeah I have High-Speed. I connected the modem straight to the 360 and tested the connection, but nothing.

Where did the connection stop at?

I dunno, it's been like 4 months since I tried it last. I'll try again though...

Also, how do I redeem the 30 free days of Live that supposedly came with my 360?

It should be as simple as creating a new gamer tag and getting online. You'll need to provide some info like email and such. Its fairly quick, but alot of people seem to have issues getting connected initially. After that its easy.

I don't know about the GHWT guitar, which might also be better, but you might want to consider the upgrade.

Never liked the explorer. And now, playing the Strat, I can't see going back to the LP even. Though part of that is personal preference. I hate clicking strum bars, and I prefer buttons the width of the neck to the dinky ones. Not only that, but the solo buttons are great for my shoulder. Ironic, since I have huge hands.

I think the next gen Guitar Controller should split the five buttons down the neck of the guitar. So you have two rows of blue tab, red tab, etc. Add another set of tabs between the high tabs and the regular tabs, but don't split those down the middle; keep them normal.

The game could signal which tabs to play with a different colored note train in the game (like RB's blue solo section). This, along with the split tabs at the end, would add a whole new level beyond expert. I'd love it. I'm gonna mock up some visual aids and post them later.

And yeah, still working on that fighting game list, peeps.

Neversoft made GH3 so that it wouldn't be compatible. However, the strat works for GHWT and RB2

Ok I have a GH questions:

I have GH3 on the Wii, so my guitar should work with world tour right?

Also, are they going to bring out the drums as a separate thing? Or will it only be part of the bundles?

The compatability matrix above says yes. Your GH3 controller will work with WT.
You should be able to confirm the second on Amazon.com/co.uk. I don't know, but I can't imagine they wouldn't.

I'd be happy with a Drum/Mic/Game package, just don't want to have to shell out for another Guitar, I'm only 1 person! Don't need 2 of them
