Angle for sure. He could have been the top guy for any promotion in any country in any time doing exactly what he does.

The Rock only works in New York in my opinion.

St. Jimmy 12-03-2008 09:03 PM

He's just a sexy Kurt.

Destor 12-03-2008 09:06 PM

5 to ZIP for Angle

Nowhere Man 12-03-2008 09:28 PM

Make that 6.

Rock had some great main-event presence and was fantastic on the mic (if a little repetitive and sing-songy with all the catchphrases), but Kurt at his best could easily keep up with Rocky on the mic, and then wrestle circles around him in the ring. It's true, it's damn true.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-03-2008 09:35 PM

First and foremost I'm a wrestling fan, so I have to go with Kurt. Kurt is an amazing wrestler, and great on the mic too. The Rock is amazing on the mic, but he can't touch Kurt in the ring.

Triple Naitch 12-03-2008 09:37 PM

As much as I love The Rock, Angle was gold on the mic and in the ring. The best part about Angle is that he could do anything and the crowd would mark out for him because he was so entertaining. The best example was at New Year's Revolution when he even admitted he could do anything and still get cheered.

Goofy Kurt > The Rock but anything post-2003 Kurt Angle doesn't really appeal to me. Especially his intense, growling, mouth-guard wrestling machine gimmick he had in his final days in the WWE. He was alright at ONS 2006 but other than that it annoyed me. I'm going to have to go with Rocky on this one...

AKin3D 12-03-2008 10:42 PM

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this match.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DC_IufvTPbY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DC_IufvTPbY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I don't think Rock ever took a bump like that.

KYR 12-03-2008 10:45 PM

No contest. Angle gets my vote.

Yes some of you will be amazed by that but I treat this fairly and I cast my vote according to my set of criteria and Angle had it all. Great wrestler (Rock just doesn't compare), great on the mic, could fire up the crowd so easily.

I hate to say it, but Angle should win this battle.

KYR 12-03-2008 10:46 PM

Plus he and Eddie put on the match of all-time when I saw them live in Sydney a few years back...will never forget their commitment to entertain us in such a way in a non-televised match.

Innovator 12-03-2008 10:48 PM

Kirk Angel all the way

You could argue this as his failure to play heel against Cena. Triple H mentioned this saying that Angle and Jericho were poor heels and that's why Cena was getting booed against them. Funnily enough, Cena's biggest boos came up against Triple H. The only person who managed to get some of the crowd back on Cena's side was Edge.

The Franchise 12-03-2008 10:50 PM

Angle's still the man though. This was a tough ass choice to make.... I feel like I'm trying to justify choosing Rock and thats not a good sign. ARGHGHh

Lock Jaw 12-03-2008 11:36 PM

Rock is the man, but Angle is possibly just one of the greatest of all the times, and is still active and being entertaining.

El Fangel 12-04-2008 02:07 AM

purely voted on being a rock mark.

Tazz Dan 12-04-2008 05:26 AM

Keep in mind, though, that's Triple "I go out of my way at least twice a year to bury Jericho to make sure he doesn't become more over than me" H we're talking about here. The man's as insecure as the Arizona border.

Nark Order 12-07-2008 01:54 PM

Didn't vote in time but Angle for sure.
