Metal Gear heading to... ???
 

On December the 5th, Konami put up a teaser page on their Japanese site.
The site only had this image:

From the few sites I've checked out and the YouTube videos analyzing it, it seems to be the popular thought that this shows a Metal Gear is heading to the 360. People have said the stand-by symbol could be a sign, even though it's a pretty universal symbol. From what I've read, no one seems to notice that the end symbol has an exclamation where it should just be a vertical line. I'm not sure if that's a clue or even important.

Other people are reading it as the i represents either the Wii or the DSi and the ! symbol meaning a Metal Gear game and the power button meaning "Go".

A few have even said it could mean a Metal Gear for the iPod or maybe a new Metal Gear Ac!d game.

I'm not sure, myself. It says "next" so it wont be a port, will it? Whatever it is, it'll probably be something new.

Hell, I love Metal Gear Ac!d. If that came out on XBLA with multi-player, I'd be all over that

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

I mean really anybody who thinks its something other than 360 is being silly, but it does look too obvious.

I find it interesting that they're saying "Metal Gear" as opposed to "Metal Gear Solid" or "MGS4".

I do to. Maybe it's a whole new Metal Gear series and not a new Ac!d or Solid? With Tekken and Final Fantasy heading to 360, a new and exclusive Metal Gear for the 360 wouldn't be too far fetched, would it?

I could see it being a Wii game to be honest. Maybe a remake of the original Metal Gears from the NES.

Actually, the rumor is...they are remaking the Metal Gear Trilogy for the 360.

And I'm talking about the three pack that was released for the PS2 months ago.

Oh shit, I'd gladly take the remakes on the 360 if I can't get MGS4.

Though they'd probably just be rereleases on XBLA.

Aren't the three games all well over the current size limit?

Anyway, I can live without them, but I'd rather have the original one. Before Kojima's head completely disappeared up his own ass.

I'd assume they'd fall under the XBox Originals rule.

I'll bet anything it comes out on Wii as well as 360, or even instead of.

If this comes out on 360 then I would assume 4 will somewhere down the line.

Liked 1 & 2 but didn't get into 3 so wouldn't mind them coming out.

I've still not played 3. I borrowed it with a PS3 but the disc was too scratched to get very far so I would be well interested.

Except originals aren't XBLA games. There's no "rule" pertaining to XBO...Save that they be...Original.

They might as well package these games. A remake, especially, where they'd update the graphics.
