A Former WWE wrestler to TNA

http://www.wrestleview.com/news08/1229814852.shtml

Apparently Nathan Jones may be going to TNA.

Mike Honcho 12-21-2008 09:32 AM

Nathan Jones is huge ... but that's about it. I didnt really like his in ring or his mic work.

Blitz 12-21-2008 11:32 AM

As I am a huge Nathan Jones mark, this has made my day.

Nark Order 12-21-2008 12:25 PM

I used to like him alot until I saw him lose to Brad Pitt in like 3 seconds in the movie Troy. I mean come on, he could have put up a little bit of a better fight. Disgraceful.

Former WWE wrestler to TNA?

You don't say!

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2008 02:21 PM

Never really liked Nathan Jones. And he is from my homestate, so that is saying something. Hopefully he has somehow improved and is not crappy anymore.

KingofOldSchool 12-21-2008 02:24 PM

They should have hired Outback Jack instead.

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2008 02:25 PM

There is a slot for an Australian wrestler in one of the two big companies. I just wish they'd choose someone better than Nathan Jones.

Tb1 12-21-2008 06:02 PM

He'll just get lost in the shuffle like everyone else.

Speaking of TNA, I'd like to use this time to introduce my new concept match (which was not new threadworthy), so Russo, get your copy/paste fired up, big guy. It's called the Referee in a Cage Match. Basically, the ref is suspended above the ring in a cage (think Paul Bearer minus the cement truck). You've got to knock your opponent out to the point where you can then CLIMB A LADDER and then go get the ref who will make the count for you, or get a submission from your opponent. It combines what you love about the ladder match with what you love about matches where people are needlessly suspended above the ring for questionable angles.

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2008 10:15 PM

Shane Sewell could really use a bunji-jumper gimmick.

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2008 10:25 PM

Nah. That doesn't do it. :(

Tazz Dan 12-22-2008 04:13 AM

Wait. WTF. Are you Australian Noid?

Mr. Nerfect 12-22-2008 04:17 AM

I am very Australian.

Tazz Dan 12-22-2008 04:19 AM

You're fucking kidding me. How come I never knew this

Where?

Mr. Nerfect 12-22-2008 04:20 AM

It was a conspiracy to keep us Aussies down. I'm from the Brisbane area.

How about you?

Tazz Dan 12-22-2008 04:25 AM

Tassie. Fuck. I thought everyone knew that!

So when I fly up and visit KYR next year, you're coming for a beer with us then?

I thought it would have been Tassie, the "Tazz" bit of your name giving it away, but I didn't want to assume.

Would an Australian ever not be up for a beer? :y:

El Fangel 12-22-2008 04:46 AM

BigDaddyCool 12-22-2008 09:36 AM

Nathan Jones's acting career come to a halt aready?

Blue Demon 12-22-2008 09:37 AM

About as quickly as his wrestling one apparently.

BigDaddyCool 12-22-2008 09:40 AM

Well he did have some decent spots in movies. He got killed by Brad Pitt and beat up by Jet Li.

In like 30 seconds.

BigDaddyCool 12-22-2008 09:43 AM

He got some decent roaring and posing in.

Kane Knight 12-22-2008 12:43 PM

And he looked impressive doing it.

Jones probably would have been fine, but like most WWE prospects, he was pushed pretty hard pretty fast and wasn't really ready. Also, he's apparently a whiny bitch when it comes to travel arrangements.

Mr. Nerfect 12-22-2008 12:45 PM

He was way too green to be used. Physically, he'd have the skills, but when you can't rehearse a match and get it right, something's not working.
