I've watched a couple episodes and there has been a school shooting, another kid was stabbed to death by a student from a rival high school, two girls have had babies (one was 13 when she had hers), one became a rock star but had to go to rehab because of heroin, one (one of the ones who had a baby) slept with an apparent CFL star and became a supermodel, a girl posted her semi-nude pictures online and was stalked by a creepy fat man, Marco is just really gay, one guy took a picture of a drunk girl's boobs and blackmailed her, one 13-year-old girl found her principles dildo vibrator, etc.

It's not bad.

The original Degrassi was better.

I saw like half of the episodes you mentioned. Used to watch a lot with a friend. Hey it was on before Dawson's Creek :roll:

Was the original Degrassi good in any way? I never watched it. All I know is Banky Edwards expressed intentions to watch Degrassi, so there must be SOMETHING cool about it

The one on now is Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Some of the girls are really hot though.

You just described about three seasons of the show. You didn't watch a couple of episodes. Just admit it, you've been a Degrassi junkie since day one.

Degrassi has been around since I was AssMans age.

I got really excited seeing this thread. I got a shit ton of them on dvd. I shall address the original Degrassi first. It is FUCKING AWESOME. I honestly can't think of another show like it. It is ridiculously corny, but you get soo hooked. At times you really feel for the characters, and at times you just laugh like a mad man.

There are so many awesome episodes and stories with it all. My favorite is probably the Pedophile teacher episode. Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High, are what you need to watch. Never seen Streets of Degrassi which is where it all started.

As for The Next Generation, it is also awesome, without the fucking. It is all in the same story universe. Like Spike has a kid in Junior High, Emma or whatever and she is one of main kids in new show. And Snake is a teacher now, he was a main guy with Joey P. Jeremiah, the P is for Playboy.

It is def an awesome show that will get you hooked in a different way than other shows. My friends and i get drunk and watch it some times, just SOOOO ridiculous.

Technically I'm pretty sure they are only showing one season since every time I tune into The N it is an episode I've already seen.

According to my Wikipedia research the show has been around for ages though, and it has been through like a lot of different characters and formats. The DVDs are pretty expensive though, probably because they have to be imported from Canada. It might be kind of weird watching them if they were in like middle school though.

i loved the episodes when spinner got testicular cancer and then went on a rampage kicking all those kids asses. a guy tried to throw a punch at him and he caught his fist and then knocked him out.

Is it better than the scene when Ben Foster's character in Alphadog arrives and that party and completly fucks EVERYONE up lol

ha, i loved that scene too. but cant say that it was better than that, but if you look it up on youtube there are clips of it.

These episodes seem to be before I started watching, so I can only assume Spinner survived his battle with testicular cancer. Although the black athlete is already in his wheelchair here, so maybe not.

Spinner also looks pretty young here.

It's also awesome that he is beating up a bunch of metal heads because he got cancer.

I've seen a lot of Degrassi episodes and I can't remember Spinner having cancer. I think it's in the newest episodes.

yeah kapoutman is right. spinner's fight with cancer happened about 2-3 years after the black guy got shot and maybe 5 episodes after that other kid was stabbed to death by the metal heads.

I used to watch it, but I haven't regularly in years.

My last episode was when the mascot got stabbed and died. Remember that time he was going to have sex with Manny and then she caught him with a penis pump.

It sucks, I don't really have an idea of the chronology because I just watch random episodes as they are on TV. I should get the seasons on DVD, but they cost a lot for some reason on Amazon.

netflix appears to have the first 6 seasons, i believe they are on season 8 right now.

Degrassi Junior High was the shit. I used to get that on a Toronro Channel when I lived in Niagara Falls.
