Where did he come from? I hear he's from some comic book.

He's not a marvel character I know that, and I'm pretty sure he's not from DC.

So where the **** did he come from?

He is from the comics like you said. Go to www.hellboy.com Dont know if thats the comic book website. It was just the first the first thing that mentioned a comic book that popped up on google.

But you have to admit those are the two most mainstream companies. With the most movies of their books.

The first non-Marvel/DC movie that springs to mind for me is Spawn...and that sucked. But so did some DC and Marvel movies.
