Question about buying MK vs DC
 

I'm thinking of picking up Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for the 360. I've checked out a GameTrailers video review but that didn't really push me one way or the other. Is the game enjoyable in single player and is multiplayer easy enough to get to grips with for someone that rarely plays games to play with a gamer?

I know we had a whole thread about the game but the search function wont find it anymore and the vg forum only has 2 pages.

Mortal Kombat games always have dial-combos and you need to memorize a bunch of shit to use a character well. Prolly better off with more noob friendly games like Soul Calibur 4, and DOA 4.

I'd say rent it. I rented it for 5 days and was done with it completely at the end of those 5 days.

Soulcalibur is NOT newb friendly. You got shit twisted.

And Drak; do NOT waste money on MKvsDC unless you find shitty gameplay mechanics of value (which I believe you don't).

I'm getting SF IV when it's released so I'm in no rush for a fighting game. A friend of mine loves DC so if I did buy MKvsDC, they would want to play so I needed to know if it would have turned out fun playing against each other or if it would have been awkward.

I can't be the only one that feels odd when you play against someone who doesn't play games and thrash them. Unless you hold back so much it's so obvious you're letting them win.

Well if the guy's a non-gamer MKvsDC would be a decent jump-off game for him. He could get his start on spacing strats and such with that game. And the story mode, terrible as it is, has brief moments of fan-service.

I rented it, played through one side of the story and took it back. It took everything great about MK, everything that makes horrible fighting games, and a pile of shit, mixed it all in a blender, and then filtered out anything decent that remained.

They shoulda called it the death of MK.

It's not bad for a a local 2 player fest. The 1 player mode is meh at best.

Flash Wins! would also suffice.

I think it was to easy even on the hardest level and that's bad since I'm one of those people who no matter how hard I try I suck at fighting games. I mean it they made it very push random button, repeat same move friendly.

Not worth the price imo.

Yea just rent it. I bought it but regret it, it gets old real fast.
