It's going to be the Champion Matt Hardy against Jack Swagger one on one with the title on the line! and it's going to be TAPED!.

I am not a huge ECW fan but I am looking forward to this one.

I don't think there's any way in hell that Swagger will actually win, but I really really really really really REALLY hope that he does. Some may say it's too soon to give Swagger a title, but the ECW championship means about dick all anyway, and I'd rather see more of Swagger than Hardy when I watch ECW. Should be a decent match either way.

I think Hardy will retain the belt in some way, but I hope the rivalry continues. Swagger could be the champ by Wrestlemania if he continues to improve. His ring work is good and is a complete asshole on the mic.

Matt Hardy is fine as ECW Champion right now, and can keep getting the belt over. I'd only agree with a title change if they had plans for both Swagger and Hardy. Putting the belt on a rookie is a pretty big fucking risk, though, considering he's the closest thing they have to a new Brock Lesnar or Bobby Lashley, and they've been afraid talent is going to do another "Brock Lesnar" or "Bobby Lashley."

The ECW championship is the springboard to MMA success.

You act as though it's a risk. Putting the WWE title on someone at Wrestlemania may be a risk, but not this.

For sure. I always "stick up" for the title in the arguments over it. What I'm contending though is that regardless of what anyone thinks it is a real world title because that's what it's status is. But the bottom line is that it's treated like shit and with each passing move means less.

It really only lived up to it's name with RVD and Big Show, and Matt Hardy has done a fine job of making it look more valuable than it is to creative.
I suppose it had good exposure with Lashley for a bit there, if only because it was involved in that Trump thing which was "main event"

They could have made the US or IC title look like a million bucks if Trump had been involved in it like that.

You guys should really watch ECW. That way you'd be as happy as I am right now.

I like Swagger, but I never remember ECW is on. You can see the problem.

They should just do ECW before Raw on USA, live, from 8-9. Then they could have the pyro at the end of the hour and start Raw, where they moved on to the "important stuff".

It'd be exactly like Nitro. The first hour of Nitro and the guys on it were to WCW as ECW is to WWE nowadays anyways.

Pretty soon WWE will give everyone a title and it will actually be more prestigious to be the one guy who doesn't have a championship belt. That way they can sell the most possible replicas, but the belts will be more like The Scarlet Letter than an accolade.

It'd be absurd to have a different "brand" with a title shown as a seperate entity on the same broadcast, so I'm mostly kidding, but honestly...what does it even matter

I'm not even sure why they wrestle anymore. They should just have Cena and Rey stand in the ring for two hours and tell you to call this number and buy our stuff. Occasionally they would fight off Mike Knox or Kane.

So we're talking about Superstars in the mid 90s?
