Power 25
http://www.wwe.com/inside/power25/
I'm not sure what possessed me to skim the WWE's Power 25 tonight (probably boredom), but I noticed something that is just shameful. Neither William Regal nor Shelton Benjamin are even on to list. This isn't a "they're ranked too low" issue, either. They aren't even there. Just another example of the degradation of the Intercontinental and U.S. titles. The two champions aren't even considered among the top 25 in the WWE. Sad. |
In the very first power 25, there are 13 people people who aren't with the company anymore. Technically there are 28 people in the list, but MNM and LOD (ugh) are counted as one.

Glad to see Victoria made the list at number 25 as a retirement present.
|
And yet, Boogeyman is on that list. Remarkable.
|
Kane loses and moves up a spot. Carlito and Primo don't have a match and move down a spot. HBM defeats Cena and is only at 16. Good list.
|
Undertaker cut a promo and moved up a spot?
|
If you want stats watch football. Wrestling is fake don't ya know.

WHAT?!?!?!

Ha. Nice post. But anyway. Who cares? There's better things to worry about than some meaningless list. |
Yeah, like the economy.

These "power" rankings suck copious amounts of African American penis. Seriously...

Seriously?

I don't know what's more full of shit...the Power 25 or the BCS. :wtf:

Didn't know that Primo and Carlito were Tag Champs, good for them.
Cody Rhodes, higher on the list than Randy Orton. |
Am I the only one who finds it odd that the WWE doesn't even acknowledge the Power 25 on television? I remember once when Matt Hardy topped the list. It would have been cool if Todd Grisham & Matt Striker had talked about how it was great to have the ECW Champion be the top ranked guy in the industry. But no.
Normally I don't think the Power 25 is too far off, but yeah, that is one horrible list. The WWE needs to get the reigns back on it. Perhaps make it the "Top Ten" and just call it a day. |

It always made sense to me to keep track of it a little bit more like a sport, mentioning winning and losing streaks, trends, and history more specifically. Maybe that's just me.

They're the ones who keep trying to pass it off. How many times have they imitated real events, or imitated MMA? I mean, they've been doing that since the 90s.
One of WWE's problems is they can never " shit or get off the pot." They court children, but they're afraid to let go of the adults. They try and pass it off as sports entertainment, even though they're trying to turn it into something else. I mean, this is nothing new, either. They've been trying to shift into a more "legitimate entertainment" role since they were still the WWF. WWE will always try and be middle of the road, or maybe only as long as Vince is in charge. Either way, the Optimist is really just looking for WWE to follow through with one of their own strategies. |
I haven't looked yet, but I'm willing to guess Triple H is in the top 3.

WTF happened to my post??

Well I mean really Juan. You asked what happened to your post an hour and a half ago and I've been sitting here patiently waiting for you to re-post it.
And I'm STILL waiting. |
Well, obviously some mod didn't like it. I don't wanna piss anyone off.
I had quoted MB's post but replaced the lizard with that Mickie James pic of her sitting on some dude's face. |
***WWKD says knock it the fuck off***
