I think it is fairly clear WWE needs to turn one of their major raw stars.
The whole Raw mainevent scene is stagnet. I mean how many times can we see face Cena v heel JBL, or heel Orton, or tweener HBK? Seriously one of the top guys needs to have a full turn, but who?

Orton seems to be the closest to turning face right now, but I don't really want to see that happen since I think they have a good thing going now with his character.
But since they love to bring alot of things back, I would be all for a JBL face turn. He was a great comedy face, not to mention he has been a heel for almost 5 years now. |
I would like to see them balls up and make either Rey or Cena heel, they have never faced off.

I think the best approach from a creative standpoint would be Cena, but they have business interests as well and that's not going to happen.
Batista as a heel would have been a nice change of pace, but he's gone for a while. I'd prefer HBM as a heel ala 1997, but that's also not going to happen because he doesn't want to and has the clout to say no. Rey as a heel is risky, because although it would be fresh, it could be ridiculous. He works better as the loveable underdog. He'd be a pipsqueek heel like Santino, unless they built him up as having a mean streak and being a badass (which would be laughable). So yea, I don't know what they could do. They have options creatively, but other things are holding it back. Best bet is probably to have CM Punk go heel, and start acting like an ass and cutting egotistical promos and the like. |
I would make Rey just a charity case/bad attitude heel. Everything happens to him. He could get on a real jerk streak constantly bitching about how unfair everything is for a man his size, I know I'm stealing the idea from someone here cause it was a good idea. He could weasel the title away from Cena pulling shit where he has a clear advantage.
Then when Bats comes back from injury, they could do have him confront his old friend Rey about how he has been acting. Rey would throw everything back in Bats's face saying he doesn't understand cause of his size and just piss Bats off. I would have batista win the title off Rey at that point, then Bats would go to Cena saying Cena got robbed of the title and offer him a title shot. That would make a good series. |

CM Punk could be a great heel for them, but the best type of heel he could be would be fairly similar to the current incarnation of Jericho as heel.
Basically, they should wait. |
It's been a while, but I think they should move Big Show over to Raw. I think a heel Big Show would fit on the Raw roster at the moment...build him up on Smackdown with a lengthy run and then do a talent trade or something.
I'm not sure turning anyone currently on raw would have any effect really. |

It's not that I dislike the guys on Raw, I'm just bored with the current arangement. The only guy/angle I'm still interested in is pretty much Jericho. HBM is always gold, but even he can't really save his current storyline. In general, I'm far more interested in Smackdown, even though life prevents me from ever catching it live. I wish Smackdown as it is now was Monday night Raw. Edge, HHH, Jeff Hardy, Taker and the rest of the lot is far more interesting to me for whatever reason these days. Also, if Christian ends up there they're one HBM or Jericho trade away from being far and away the best roster in years. |

If it was up to me, I would try to convert John Cena into a heel, but Orton (and Team Legacy) would have to turn face to counter....and this won't be happening anytime soon.
Bring back RVD on a HHH-less show. :y: Either that, or elevate CM Punk again. Taker being on RAW again...as a face....could also freshen things up. Who knows. |
I think Taker should definitely get one last run on RAW before he retires. I'd love to see a heel John Cena vs. face CM Punk feud this year, too.

I dunno, with the mention of Taker going back to Raw I kinda liked the idea of a Taker v Punk programme...but I saw it with Biker Taker. I guess it'd kinda be like the small fued between Taker and Jeff Hardy back in the day.
So I wouldn't mind seeing BikerTaker return but it'd seem awkward having gone from Deadman to Biker then back to Deadman and then back again. |

The Christian-Jeff vs Matt-Edge storyline would be very cool. I think having Matt align with Edge would be very interesting, for obvious reasons, and a great way to help Matt get heat as a heel.
But, I think the long awaited and obvious prospect of E&C vs The Hardys is cut and dry the way to go at first. It's too perfect and exciting not to tap into right away. The storyline you suggest would be awesome, but more interesting down the road. |
