Had the DVD for 7 years before watching it last November. :(

I always thought Kylie M. made a great Cammy for what it's worth. And Raul Julia rocks by default.

Dug the portrayal of Vega. What is it with Street Fighter movies giving him dark hair, though.

Guess they feel it's more Latin. I partially agree.

So much wrong with this film, I am inclined to agree with the gentlemen above.

Although the video game (Street Fighter) is arguably the greatest fighting game of all-time (IMO), the movie was very poorly done.

-They got DeeJay and Balrog's character mixed up for the most part.

-They made Ken and Ryu practically gay for one another....to the point where they wanted a penis-on-penis relationship.

-Guile should not have been the main protagonist. That distinction should have belonged to Ken and Ryu.

-What the fuck was up with Dhalism? Only in the final scene was he inexplicably bald.

-The actors that portrayed M.Bison, Sagat, Chun Li, Cammy, Guile, and E.Honda did a decent job of acting.

-Was Vega (character...not former TPWW poster) even in the movie? What about Fei Long? Akuma would have been interesting. No T-Hawk?

T-Hawk was in the movie there chief. Maybe if you paid attention to it instead of spanking your shit to JCVD, you would have noticed. :y:

His first appearance was in SSF2T, which came out the same year.

No. But in all fairness Street Fighter was based on Super and not Super Turbo so Gouki was hands off at the time. I'm sure you can recall his awkward addition in the craptastic game adaption.

Trivia:

The director had a binding clause to include all 16 characters from Super. At least in his defense, it explains a lot.

Few things:

-I watched the movie over THIRTEEN (13) years ago...a movie that I lost interest in after FIVE (5) minutes. Therefore, I do not remember minute details.

-I do not know what JCVD stands for.

The Mortal Kombat movies were both better than the Street Fighter movie.

Whoa whoa whoa. I'd rather watch SF than Annihilation any day of the week.

lol. Really all I have to offer on the matter. This movie is so bad it's good.

I'll have to agree here. Annihilation was a terrible movie.

Having said that - I loved MK1.

Van Damme is not an actor. The guy that played Guile was Van Damme.

And he just somehow "forgot" Fei Long?

Sawada was a repackaged Fei Long. He probably had a problem with the Bruce Lee thing. And the hilarious part is they let Sawada post in the final shot like he had some right.

I love this film! And not in a "so bad it's great" way either.

Although it is incredibly cheesy and fun to watch. :D

That's all I will say about this movie.

I personally love the film. Me and my cousin used to watch it all the time and almost have all the worlds memorized...

Another sad note is that we have the movie poster in our living room....right next to Die Hard.

WWE was so fun back then.

I watched it primarily because Julia was Bison. Otherwise, it was every bit as good as I could have expected. That is...Not at all.

I did see this movie and remember it being bad, but I really want to watch it again right now.

I memorized the height, weight, birth places, and fighting styles, and finishing moves for all of the Street Fighter characters. :o
