My guild just finished 25 man Nax ( woot ). I got the gloves from Sapp and lost rolls on two T7.5 helms that dropped at from Kel'. But its officially on farm status now i think.

I havent actually been to EoE yet though.

I got T7 BP, and Shoulders and i got the Leggings off the huge spider in 10 man nax. I'm looking pretty good. I can be alot better. Gunna grind some heroic for my trinket. Got the neck item with heroism badges and its one of the best necks i can get atm.

Cant wait til they patch the new content in.

I lost respect for anyone on TPWW who plays WoW instead of other MMOs.

I've played City of Heroes a lot in '06. Now I'm waiting for a great console MMO to ruin my life. Champions looks like a winner.

A friend of mine is excited for Champions. I didn't care for CoH, but I will probably give Champions a try.

Pretty much any MMO is better than that piece of trash. I understand if it's your first MMO why you think it is great, but it is not at all. It is a mish-mash of features taken from older games that -defined- the genre, but dumbed down for 10 year olds to understand.

Everything is a grind. The questing is a joke. Kill X things and bring them here, or collect X things and bring them elsewhere. That's not even questing.. that's disguised grinding. The PvP is just a grind for better PvP gear. Nothing you do affects the world in any signifcant way. Nothing feels rewarding in this game, because nothing takes real effort. If you die, who gives a fuck.. you just respawn like nothing happened with a penalty that doesn't do anything except annoy you. They have tried to make this game too much like a fucking arcade game. Battlegrounds are completely stupid, because they don't mean anything.

For anyone who played MMOs before WoW, the game is a fucking joke. The only thing original about it is the Warcraft IP. That's it. All the features in the game were taken from some other game, and dumbed down. The only reason it was successful is because Blizzard had the battle.net following, and because they had enough money already to polish it more than a lot of smaller developers are able to do to their games. They made it with pretty crap graphics, which made it accessible to enough people to give it a large subscriber base.

I stopped playing again, so I don't really care, but it sounds like Req was to <s>smart</s>dumb to be good at a "dumbed down, but better version, of MMO's that came out before it"

And no, WoW's not my first MMO. It's just the only one I ended up not regretting wasting money on after 4-5 months.

I was in H Naxx last night but had to quit as I kept getting DC'd on that toon... Friday however I did get Dawnwalkers Infectious Skitterer Leggings Dislocating Handguards.

Actually Req, your big rant on WoW is kind of outdated. Since WotLK, you actually do change the environment in which you play, based on what quests you've completed and such. I can think of at least five or six main story points that you have to complete to be able to "see" the world as everyone else who has completed it does. You have to assemble various parts for the camp in Sholazar Basin to be able to get the flight path there. You help the Knights of the Ebon Blade take back the Shadow Vault, which starts out as a hostile-flooded enemy stronghold and becomes a friendly village with vendors and quests and things once you've completed the quest. You take part in the siege on the Wrath-Gate, the surrounds of which change dramatically before and after you've completed the event. You help Varian Wrynn assault the Undercity. You aid the Sons of Hodir in gathering important artifacts like Fjorn's Anvil, Hodir's helm, etc., and they appear at their stronghold of Dun Niffelem, where they weren't present before. They started this sort of thing with the Isle of Quel'Danas, in the final few patches of TBC. You had to help take back the Island, and as your server completed objectives, the world changed accordingly. So, honestly, if you're going to gripe about something, at least make it an accurate, timely gripe. You are complaining about stuff that hasn't been an issue since like 2.3.

That aside, my guild has cleared all the 10/25 content except for 25 man EoE. But 25 man Naxx is basically on farm now, and Obsidian Sanctum was never not on farm. We're just gonna start trying to do it with drakes up and eventually go for the Twilight Vanquisher title. We've got 10 man Naxx down to an effortless one night clear, so we pretty much just go for badges now. I'm 4/5 T7.5, with the only exception being the helm (which is T7 anyways), and I'll eventually bid once some of the lesser geared members have had their shot.

Bring on Ulduar, seriously.

Also, on the note about the Wrath Gate, that cutscene is fucking badass.

Our guild dont do dkp or anything. Its basically if you need, roll. I looted a Tunic of Dislocation and didnt even know if it was a sure upgrade on my t7 Chest piece for my rogue. It's just sitting in my bag. Not sure if i'll use it. I have to research that.

I got the Gloves of Fast Reaction off Sapp in H Nax, which are better then t7 gloves. so i'm only 2/5 t7 atm with the shoulders being my other peice.

I'm working on getting mounts and getting all my old achievments done in the Classic and BC expansions. Just killed Hakkar in ZG yesterday 3 man.

In Storm Peaks can you get the Slag Covered Metal Item outside of the quest to kill the Stormforged Iron Giants because I didn't get the item and I don't want to waste my time grinding elites if theres no chance of me getting it.

you pick up a boulder and use the " light blue item in your bag " that says something about throwing a boulder. Then you throw it at the elite giant and dwarves will pop out and help you kill it . The Slag should drop off the 1st or 2nd giant you kill.

Pretty sure I don't have the ability to do that anymore as I've done the quest. I'll take a look though just in case.

EDIT: I'm a fucking tard, I had the item but had put it in my bank. Can get on with actually doing those quests now.

I've done about 71 Storm Peak quests so far in the last 24 hours. I was on a roll until they just did rolling restarts. Trying to get my epic shoulder enchant.

I made an ally DK and am having lots of fun atm

3.1 patch ready to download it would seem, I've been download a patch for hours and it's only at 23%. It's 555mb total so it should be the patch as a whole :), though in order for it to download you have to have the launcher on.

Not really excited about 3.1. Yeah, Ulduar, woo. But the changes (or lack thereof) for Mages are depressing. So we get no change for Fire (the most boring spec ever, and our only raid-viable one at that), got slammed with the nerf-bat for Arcane the last couple of patches, and Frost gets Replenishment (which several other classes already have and bring to the table). Yay.

Seriously losing interest fast.

Further confirmed Mage nerfs since they're nerfing Ignite, Improved Scorch, Molten Armor, and Glyph of Molten Armor. Basically all our crit boosting abilities, which is going to kneecap Frostfire too, now. Because we were just doing so much damage to begin with :roll:. We're being outDPSed by Boomkins ffs. So: Frostfire - nerfed. Arcane - nerfed. Frost - not nerfed, but no boost to it's damage meaning that Replenishment alone won't get you a raid spot as Frost.

I am switching to my Shammy. We just had our Resto Shammy bail on us after we geared her up through all the endgame content so I'm filling the spot and starting to gear up mine, because I pretty much hate raiding on my Mage now. Just no fun at all anymore.

So Mages have gone from being able to do fuck all to... being able to do less then fuck all? Yeah I'm switching to levelling my Pally and using that as a Main now. Will use my Mage for boosting friends I think.

Yeah. My trinkets suck, but I went from full PVP Ret / PvE Holy to PvE Ret / PvE Holy like a month ago.

By the way, I am bumping this because I searched for a WoW thread before posting one. Show some armories or something. Or post some funny WoW vidz plz.
