I am going to see it and quite excited for anything new involving Jason, although I'd prefer another Freddy vs Jason to remakes.

But, nah it's not going to redefine anything

I think it'll take the series in a new direction. But the originals were the best ones.

I dont even have to see the movie.

Saw the midnight show. As a Friday the 13th fan, I thought it was ok. Way too many laughs for a horror movie though. And its more like 13 kids in the woods ;)

Kinda looking forward to this. Hated the Chainsaw remake but this looks like it could be decent. Dunno if I'll get around to seeing it in the theater.

Another sequel would have sufficed just as well though, I think.

I feel like going Jason on the fucknuts who decide they are going to remake all these horror classics.

Might actually go and see this. I'm not a big fan of the mindless slasher genre. I've always preferred the Italian giallo films that birthed it, but this looks well made and a good cinematic experience. It's at least a movie that forces the girlfriend to get close and then have sex with you after.

I'll most likely see it....thats the kind of guy I am.

It was awesome. I'm tough on horror movies too. I hated the Halloween remake with all my might, and most modern horror.

This, however, is immense. It's not Citizen Kane, but that's not what anyones going to see. It's about as good as you could ask for, and it keeps it real for fans. Any Jason fan will not be dissapointed.

Some stuff in it was really epic. Both in terms of form and content.

Saw it last night. Not bad, the script was kinda corny. The sex scenes made the movie for me. Those girls were so fucking hot. They all had stupendous titties.

So is someone just shipping teenage/college kids to Camp Crystal Lake, by the batch now? Was there a scene where a truck pulls up and drops them all off and gives them tents and condoms and alcohol.

Honestly, this sounds like its not far from being a Real World season.

People don't get killed by the boatload on The Real World, nor does it have Willa Ford bare ass naked.

Just went to see it, wasn't bad but had a little to much humor in it. Still liked the first 4 better. Kinda disappoited.

Jeri, your recommendation for it sort of sells it for me. I hate most modern horror. It's not that I'm opposed to horror films, it's just that it's hard to find someone who appreciates Dario Argento these days. Most horror fans judge a horror film's violence by how gory and cliche it is.

Well it's not a great horror film by those standards, but it's above torture porn. It's a love-letter to Friday the 13th. Instead of shitting on it, they pay tribute to it. There's a lot of cool stuff, and it's back to basics.

I liked it Jason doing what he does best

I had so much fun watching this/

i also saw it with my girlfriend and felt awkward cause she had taken me to see a shitty film when i wanted to see gran torino.
