Apparently, something was lost in translation, because apparently it was CIMA, from dragongate, who wrestled the dark match...


Nothing will probably come of this, but it's interesting, since apparently CIMA is sort of a free agent right now.

Didn't CIMA retire? Thought I read that somewhere.

Oh that would be cool if he was in WWE. I saw him live during the WM weekend in Detroit, and he was one of the top dragons gate guys in the match.

Nah. There was a big rumor that he was going to, as he had an extremely bad neck injury, but he ended up coming back. Then he worked one show with Dragon Gate in early January, and essentially vanished after that. Now he pops up in a Smackdown dark match.

God knows if WWE signed him, he'd be given an evil karate gimmick to feud with Funaki...

He's apparently really good, but probably like Rey Mysterio in the sense that he is far more banged up than he should be for his age. If the WWE signed him, I woudn't complain. Don't they also have some other Japanese guy sitting on the wings somewhere?
