Actors or Actresses that you think should retire.

I've had enough of:

Steve Martin - One of the funniest guys on TV and the movies of all time as far as I'm concerned, but everytime I see something new from him, I just get turned off from it.

CSL 02-15-2009 02:36 PM

Reece Witherspoon - Because I want to break her face

Eddie Murphy - Go back to stand up. But even that would probably suck nowadays :-\

Downunder 02-16-2009 01:40 AM

Tom Cruise - if you need an explanation you need to die (and go and live with his space alien gods)

D Mac 02-16-2009 05:22 AM

Clint Eastwood: I love the guy but going out with Grand Torino would be good for him.

Nunder, we all know you are a closet sciencetologist. And in the final, dark days of TPWW, you and the holy warrior of God, Your Hero, will fight it out for the supremacy of all cults, not just for TPWW but for the whole world. There can only be one!

Downunder 02-16-2009 07:39 AM

I will zap him and his fake invisible god with my death ray

Triple Naitch 02-16-2009 11:39 AM

Steve Martin, Al Pacino.

Pacino is a joke of what he once was. It seems like all he does now is yell.

Mr. Nerfect 02-21-2009 03:40 AM

I don't know if "retire" is the right word, but I'd love for Steve Martin, Al Pacino and Eddie Murphy go back to being good.

When was the last real awesome movie that Dustin Hoffman made, by the way?

Downunder 02-21-2009 08:05 AM

Steve Martin was good?

Ol Dirty Dastard 02-21-2009 11:21 AM

Bobby D needs to call it quits too.

Lock Jaw 02-21-2009 03:29 PM

Will Ferrel should stop making movies. I can tolerate him in short skits or whatever, but all his movies are pretty terrible.

.44 Magdalene 02-21-2009 05:28 PM

What Lock Jaw said, but replace Will Farrel with Ben Stiller.

Xero 02-21-2009 06:09 PM

What Mag said, except both of them.

IC Champion 02-21-2009 06:18 PM

Ben Affleck

Matt Dillion

NeanderCarl 02-22-2009 12:35 AM

I haven't seen a good Adam Sandler film in years, which is a shame because he made consistently amusing movies at one time, and I'd label The Wedding Singer a 'great' film, maybe only marred by its sitcom-esque finale.

Xerzes 02-22-2009 04:00 AM

So Tim Burton doesn't qualify?

Blasphemy. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was fucking gold.

But yeah, considering the depressing state of his career these days, I'd love to see him call it a day.

NeanderCarl 02-22-2009 06:41 PM

The Man with Two Brains was a good 'un.

D Mac 02-22-2009 08:19 PM

And Sgt. Bilko

I can't believe Nick Cage wasn't mentioned yet. He fucking terrible, and hasn't done a decent acting job in years, if ever.

Funky Fly 02-24-2009 08:16 PM

He has a permanent cold, it seems

IC Champion 02-24-2009 08:24 PM

He just sucks.

yes, Pink Panther 2 is coming out and I thought the first one was supposed to be shit. The only decent-ish thing I've seen from him lately is Cheaper by the dozen and I'm being very generous there.

LoDownM 02-25-2009 09:34 PM

Steve Martin will never retire while Alec Baldwin is still active. Just so he can say he's hosted SNL more than everyone.

Tazz Dan 02-26-2009 06:37 AM

Sarah Jessica Parker. Her horse like head just shits me to tears.

Juan 02-26-2009 06:42 AM

I tend not to watch movies with actors and actresses I don't enjoy. They can make all the movies they want for all I care.

Danny Electric 02-26-2009 07:05 AM

Martin Lawerence

Mr. Nerfect 02-26-2009 09:29 PM

Martin Lawrence is very terrible. Good one. Nicolas Cage is someone that I've never liked as an actor. Sandra Bollock is yuck.

Three years isn't too long, I'll grant you that. Considering the amount of work Hoffman gets, though.

I liked him in I Heart Huckabees, but that wasn't even a starring role.

The only good movies Adam Sandler has made: Punch-Drunk Love and Reign Over Me. I'd put Will Ferrell above Sandler in terms of comedic quality, and he's already caught up to Sandler with Stranger Than Fiction and Winter Passing to his name. Also, Ferrell's new HBO show actually looks like it could be pretty funny. Ben Stiller is probably behind Ferrell in terms of funniness, but ahead of him in terms of good quality stuff to his name. He demolishes Sandler.

So yeah, I have no desire to really see the next Adam Sandler movie, because chances are it will be very, very shit like pretty much everything else he has done.

LOL. He was considered as such, but I've truthfully never seen it. Going by the myths here.

Downunder 02-27-2009 05:51 AM

Noid I like you - I like you alot

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2009 06:52 AM

I must spread some reputation around before I can express my mutual love for you, sir.

NeanderCarl 02-27-2009 08:09 PM

I put it to you that The Wedding Singer is great.
