Just preordered Halo Wars
 

RTS's are pretty awesome TBH, and I'm not that big a fan of halo although I have beaten 1 and 2 and enjoy the multiplayer, it's just not a game I'm mad addicted to.

I am very excited about this. GI gave it a 9.25 so it should be great.

i liked the demo. i wish they'd make a game where you just build bases. i hate having to go out and fight.

so basically you want Halo Architects?

This looks similar to Command and Conquer: Generals. In that, you built a base and grew your Army from the rag-tag crew you were given to start with. From there, you could take over enemy bases and use them yourself.

I'm probably going to download the demo in a bit. Do you build your base, then army, then go from there? Or do you just go with what they give you?

Clox, you don't play Halo 3. I do. I want those Mythic Maps, you don't really need them at all.

Yes there's a building mechanic, a spin on farming as well. Good game.

I had an hour long game yesterday. This game is really cool but the pacing is a drawn out affair like most RTS games. 3vs3 matches are fun. I get my ass annihilated but I had one awesome victory last night and I think I found my style.
