A second Chris Benoit DVD
 

Okay seriously, all the Benoit jokes aside... the first DVD set for him had some good matches for him... and chances of there ever being a second one is pretty much non existent. But let's just say there was a chance and it were to happen, not including matches from the Hardknock's DVD what matches would you put on there... past or present

Like I know I would want to at least have the Benoit/Guerrero match from the first ONS.

Truthfully, the pretending Chris Benoit never existed stuff is fucking retarded. The man had a blessed career and a cursed life. Not only should he get another DVD set of matches, but he should also be put into the WWE Hall of Fame one day.

I can't always remember the time and the place of all his matches, but I would definitely include his Ladder Match against Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Championship, as well as TLC 3. I remember he worked some really good stuff with The Rock and Triple H in 2000, as well.

Three landmark matches that would need to be included, in my opinion:

* Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit for the WWE Championship at the 2003 Royal Rumble.

* 2004 Royal Rumble Match

* Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XX

I take it you didn't read the premise or reason for this thread. So let me help clarify the basis for this thread.

IF you were to want to see a second Chris Benoit DVD what matches would you want on there. This has absolutely nothing to do with there ever being a possibility of a second DVD coming out.

It's pretty much like those fantasy threads where you list fantasy matches, fantasy cards that could never happen.

This is a fantasy DVD thread about Chris Benoit that will never happen but it gives a place to talk about some of your favorite Benoit matches that weren't on his first DVD.

How about reading the idea of the thread and understanding what it is supposed to be about before turning all retarded and jumping down the throats of people.

No, but I probably wouldn't be able to watch professional wrestling as a whole, nor live in the same house. My entire life would be turned upside down, and a lot of my remaining relationships would change.

As Chris Benoit did not kill my wife and kid, though, I am able to separate the man's professional career from his tragic personal life.

I'm just saying that the man was crazy and immensely talented in the ring and despite the horrid acts he did in his final moments of existence he still had some of the most memorable matches in wrestling history. THAT is something that can't be disputed, THAT is something that can't be forgotten. HE will always have a place in wrestling history despite what he has done. He can't be erased from wrestling, He can't just simply be forgotten despite all that the WWE is trying to do to pretty much write him out of existence.

The fact of the matter is... Benoit had a major role in wrestling. One of the best technical wrestlers to ever step foot in that ring. Could do aerial attacks, could brawl, one of the best well rounded wrestlers... the complete wrestler, minus the mic work.

But what it looks like is you're trying to WWE him and pretty much write him off as nothing based on his final moments of life. Completely refusing to acknowledge that the man has ever accomplished anything in the ring.

EVERYONE KNOWS what he's done. Everybody. There is no respect for any of that.

I was really upset when I got the news because I was expecting him to the win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Oh well...

Maybe they'll do an indepth expose' about how Benoit was framed. You know, they could talk about Kevin Sullivan's ties to the Satanic Church, and how he had a blood feud with Benoit over Woman.


As much as I loved Benoit, I don't think we'll EVER see any more footage. I sure would enjoy some of the matches, but WWE is content to let the memory fade.
