Burn Notice

So, Season 2 ended tonight, with a promise that Season 3 will start in June.

Where does the show go from where tonight's episode ended?

SPOILER: show
Is Carla really dead? Does Michael make it back to shore before passing out? If "Frazier's dad" burned Michael, why was there no recognition when Mike got in the helicopter? Does the show turn into a "Bad Guy of the Week" with no overarching story? (I sure as hell hope not)

HeartBreakMan2k 03-06-2009 01:06 AM

I loved the finale.

SPOILER: show
I can't see the group that burned Michael really letting him go just like that. I'm sure he'll have the bad guy of the week with the agency that burned him always kind of lingering.

HeartBreakMan2k 03-06-2009 01:09 AM

SPOILER: show
I will however say I would have liked for 'the war' to have gone on like one more episode. Like, have one more show this season with the Micheal and gang going up against Carla for another episode. I was fuckin hyped when they started it.

Krimzon7 03-06-2009 01:10 AM

I dunno, but I've just started watching burn notice because of the overrun on my raw recordings. This guy is fucking fantastic. I am hunting and watching all of season 1 and what I haven't seen of season 2

SPOILER: show
When I saw Mahoney's name in the credits, I figured it would have to be the big guy.

Also, I was disappointed that Victor died. I love Michael Shanks, and I loved that crazy motherfucker.

I'm betting Carla is dead.

There is no reason to think the overarcing plot ends with the finale here. They opened a can of worms in the last few minutes of the show, an obvious hook for a new season, even if the agency or whatever you want to call it is out of it, there's more to the story. Not to mention, he's still burned.

I doubt that Sam and Fiona are gonna leave him out in the ocean.

Also

Michael: It's a little hard to trust someone when they've tried to kill you...FOUR times.

Victor: Four? That seems kind of high. *thinks* Oh, come on, you're counting earlier with the chair!

BigDaddyCool 03-06-2009 02:38 PM

SPOILER: show
I see the agency coming back evetually offering him another chance after he sees what it is like to be on his own

And shut up Diesel Mac, you are so fucking predictable.

parkmania 03-06-2009 03:12 PM

BDC: I agree, but I'm wondering what kind of arangement would be palateable to Mike.

D Mac 03-06-2009 03:14 PM

Fuck you BDC. Dickhead

I didn't say Mike would like it or anything, I'm just saying that is probably what is going to happen.

Well maybe if you said more than Bruce Campbell rules, Metallica rules, or quit making fun of Sid "Shitpants" Justice, maybe I wouldn't say you are prediectable.

Well, if the company comes to Mike, he'll have bargaining power. If he has to go to them, they hold all the cards.

BigDaddyCool 03-06-2009 05:02 PM

Well duh. I'm just saying they will be back in the story. God.

I do say more. But I will continue to defend my favorites, so deal with it.

D Mac 03-07-2009 04:48 AM

In fact, get the fuck out of my state.

BigDaddyCool 03-08-2009 12:04 PM

Fair enough, although the Chiefs do look like they might get better tho.

They can't get any worse. I still won't like them till they make it to the superbowl. They don't have to win, they just have to show up. I'm not being a fairweather fan, I'm just pissed that they constantly choke.

In fact, I'm wondering if they might actually broadcast to his former enemies to persuade him to come back into the fold.

The episode is a week old, any one who hasn't seen it shouldn't be reading this if they are afraid of spoilers, I'll no longer be using spoiler warnings besides this spoiler warning.

Anyhow, that is a possible way to go. I could also see them coming in and giving him help he doesn't want or need as a way of saying you can't get rid of us.

parkmania 06-04-2009 09:14 PM

Less than an hour away from the start of the 3rd season. Anyone else ready?

HeartBreakMan2k 06-04-2009 09:16 PM

Already got the DVR set.

RatedGSuperstar 06-05-2009 09:40 PM

Thoughts on the season premiere?

SPOILER: show
I thought it was pretty solid, and sets up the season nicely. Mike having to be suspicious of everyone from his past should make for a nice running storyline for the season, along with the "Had enough yet?" notes left by Management. I'm interested to see where this goes, though, because they could run the risk of getting predictable after awhile.

bigdaddysuperfreak 06-05-2009 09:43 PM

I think its a good move allowing to have multiple people he has to watch out for. Also I wonder if he Mike does end up joining an agency to try to get some people off his back.

ClockShot 06-05-2009 09:49 PM

Moon Bloodgood has signed on to chase Jeff Donovan this season. Looks are one thing, a reputation for killing shows is another. Hopefully she'll bring something to the table.

parkmania 06-09-2009 07:16 PM

I was really wondering if they were going to have to move Mike's mom to a new house. I guess we'll get a few more insights about Mike's dad as the house gets renovated during the season.

Wouldn't it be something if it ended up being Mike's "dead" dad who was the person who burned him?

RatedGSuperstar 06-13-2009 08:35 PM

I have to bump this up just to say that Mike's cover as the junkie in this week's episode was hilarious.

parkmania 06-15-2009 12:46 AM

Another great episode. I keep wondering if there'll ever be a bad one. Bruce Campbell keeps on proving how much "the man" he actually is.

I seriously wonder if anyone could ever make a movie starring Campbell and Chuck Norris. If so, it'll probably be scheduled to come out the day after the world ends in 2012.

Johnny Vegas 06-15-2009 07:41 PM

I love that show

parkmania 06-19-2009 07:53 PM

Great returning Baddie this week. How long until the lady cop finally either comes around to Michael's side, gives up, or gets that piece of incriminating evidence that sticks?

I'm guessing most of the season, though with my luck, the episode still on my DVR has her come around, just to spite me. I'm wondering specifically whether or not she ends up "Victored," Which seems likely if she joins up OR gets that big piece of evidence. Deadski.

Preview for next ep looked interesting. Not sure how it'll turn out since most CT eps tend to suck....Like most CTs.
