So who here DOES NOT want ECW to reform?

I don't think it will be a good idea personally. It looks like WWE has potential to be very good in the next year with certain stars such as Booker T, RVD, Jericho, and Christian seeming like they might actually have a good shot at progressing towards actual main event status. Eddie and Benoit are champs and that is good, Cena and Orton should be main eventers in a little over a year hopefully, and I just think that WWE has a shot at being good because it seems like they are gonna be forced to push people towards the top because they don't have very many credible main eventers right now. If ECW comes into the picture, I'm pretty sure it will suck big time. Invasion didn't work last time, and nothing will be different this time around either I think. I wasn't an ECW fan back in the day, but I've seen footage and know enough to know that any WWE version of ECW will suck bigtime and just will ruin the legacy of what ECW was all about. I'm not sure how ECW will work out as a seperate brand also after any possible invasion too. Are all of the former ECW employees gonna only be wrestling on the Saturday night show? That would suck because I want to see certain people stay on RAW and Smackdown (mostly RVD because he has a great shot at being champ by the end of the year on smackdown)

I basically think that the WWE is looking good and that an ECW invasion would just ruin what I believe to be good TV from the WWE lately.

ECW was mostly shit before, but the WWE might be able to make it good with a bigger focus on actual wrestling.

I'm not too high on the idea though.

I wouldn't mind seeing a minor ECW stable form on either Raw or Smackdown, but I do not want to see a new ECW promotion appear. Not only would there be limited interested (due to the limited exposure that this 'brand' would get), but it would take away from the depth on Raw and Smackdown. Superstars are only as good as the jobbers make them out to be. Same thing on a message board. Without jobber posters like you, I would only look average. ;)

Heyman, you don't need me to make you look like a dumbass, you do it well enough on your own.

Oh yeah, and if someone thinks you actually have a good idea ever, then CyNick replies to one of your "DISCUSSION" topics, and totally shows that your ideas are all bad, and you always end up jobbing to him.

Although I'll admit I enjoy your topics because they make me laugh, I've always found idiots to be funny :p

The reason I am against the ECW reforming is the fact that after a while its just gonna disappear again. They might bring it back as an angle but in a few months it will be gone again like they never did it. Now if they kept it around I think it might turn into something good but then again I guess only time will tell.

BasicThuganomics 03-27-2004 07:25 PM

Really, I am just not sure how they will play it out. I just think that an Invasion angle will suck, and that a seperate saturday night show will take away wrestlers I want to see on Mondays and Thursdays. :(

I love how idiots always try and re-iterate points that I make to make themselves look smart. :p

Darloboy 03-27-2004 07:41 PM

They will never capture the atmosphere or wrestling style of the old ECW, so I personally am against it.

Kalyx triaD 03-27-2004 07:53 PM

What in the hell, does Vince know about running a new ECW? ECW is one of those promotions that had an appeal because of how small and cheap it was. A jacked up ECW won't do anything but spit on the legacy. Keep focus on the two brands; which is just NOW showing promise.

Funky Fly 03-27-2004 08:42 PM

They can be a stable, but not a full on promotion.

What, like the X Division on NWA/TNA? That wouldn't work regardless. And if they're so interested in that type of angle, I prefer WCW over ECW. Since the rivalry is mysteriously being hyped again.

That was a vote for ECW not reforming.

Mikey 03-27-2004 09:51 PM

No. It would never be the same like it was

Ive said many times that they cannot recreate the old ECW feel.

I also dont see enough guys on the two shows to make a third brand.

An ECW faction might be alright, but I really dont see the point.

I'd rather see them use Heyman to bring in a new guy and manage him tot he top like they did with Brock.

Heyman, you thought that either Undertaker/Kane or Brock/Goldberg should go last at WMXX, you have no room to be calling anyone an idiot.

PS i was just trying to "re-iterate" my point that your a dumbass! :p
