Discussion- Should the WWE end the Matt/Jeff feud in the HIAC??

I really think that it could go that far. The passion that Matt exudes on the mic, plus I would love to see what those two could do in there. The way the feud is progressing right now, it's just a slow build right now and that's the way it should be.

Your thoughts?

Xero 03-13-2009 01:43 PM

Ladder Match or TLC would be more fitting.

Was gonna say this.

See I get where you guys are going with that, and I agree, but what are they going to fight over. I guess if you do TLC, you can do it where the match ends in a pinfall, but if it is a straight ladder match, the only thing I can assume that would be up there would be a title shot?

Well,Matt Hardy/Edge did a'loser leaves raw' TLC,with a contract hanging up. So if neither of them are champion then maybe something like that. You bring up a good point though.

Xero 03-13-2009 01:54 PM

I think bringing a title or even contracts into this is silly, it stands well enough on its own. I'm sure something can be brought into it, like something meaningful to the both of them, to be hung. I just think, considering the history, it has to be a Ladder match.

The Fonz 03-13-2009 01:55 PM

Lita on a Pole match, winner gets VD.

thedamndest 03-13-2009 03:21 PM

The Mania match, then maybe a steel cage match, then the ladder match where the loser is fired/goes to the other show. They should really try and play it up like the person will be fired though, not just "leaves Smackdown" so it feels like there is actually something on the line rather than a slight readjustment of travel plans. Obviously that wouldn't last, but I think it would add more to that "Black Cloud" thing they're working with.

I wouldn't mind a HIAC, but I think the ladder match is more fitting. I also don't know if they would get the HIAC position on the card without there being a title involved.

Dave Youell 03-13-2009 03:25 PM

This is bound to end in a ladder match, they could do so much more in a ladder than a HIAC.

I can see why you say that, but thats not entirely true. They could just bring out the ladders/tables/chairs while in the HIAC match.

jerichoholicninja 03-13-2009 04:02 PM

In PG WWE world HIAC between those two will be supremely disappointing.

Xero 03-13-2009 04:06 PM

Can the Hell in a Cell even exist in PG WWE?

Or is now the Heck in a Cell?

So why bother with the cell in the first place?

Just cause it adds something extra to the match? I'm not saying it should be HIAC btw, just pointing something out.

The thing that made these guys what they are is high risk, i.e ladders.

I just don't see the need for a HIAC for these 2

Generally Hell in a Cell's tend revolve around the main title as well

Nicky Fives 03-13-2009 05:51 PM

there is no way there will be a HIAC match between the two. A ladder/TLC match is much more likely

Mr. Nerfect 03-13-2009 08:14 PM

I'm sure we will get a Ladder Match between the two, possibly with a #1 Contender's contract being hung up, but I don't think that should end the feud. To be honest, I can't think of a match that really should.

I think one realistic possibility, and one that has a chance to be used, is an I Quit Match. Making your brother say "I Quit" in a feud with this sort of intensity is a big thing, and would be adequate pay-off for the feud, in my opinion. The Ladder Match should come just before it.

Savio 03-13-2009 10:35 PM

I'd love to see an HIAC between them

Shadow 03-14-2009 12:16 AM

TLC with a number one contenders contract.

The current action figure HIAC is just called "The Cell."

Though I've seen older models called "Chaos in the Cage."

That might have been vaguely funny if Lita was, you know, around.

I think a regular cage is as far as this will go, and frankly is as far as it needs to go. Maybe some kind of cage/ladder combo. The object of retrieval would be the OMEGA world title. :shifty:

Londoner 03-14-2009 06:35 AM

Whatever happens,I can tell they have something 'big' planned. Just cause of how badly acted its been between the two, its clear they've thought about it/planned it far too much.

Londoner 03-14-2009 07:27 AM

Its never been done,i don't think.

Savio 03-14-2009 07:45 PM

They were feuding over matt being protective of lita, they only had one match over it though.

They might have had a HC match too.

Destor 03-14-2009 07:52 PM

Yeah they fueded a few years ago and it was terrible.

Also they shouldn't do the HiaC nor will they.

LOL

Mr. Nerfect 03-14-2009 08:34 PM

Both Matt and Jeff Hardy are at better places now, though. Matt Hardy is someone that I'd consider a veteran and a ring general, and Jeff Hardy is actually a solid wrestler now, and not someone who makes his money by flopping around. Both are a lot better on the mic, too.

This won't nearly be as horrible as that abortion from late 2001. Neither Hardy was anywhere near important enough in singles competition to make people care about the feud, either. It was just a big mess.

I agree that it shouldn't go to Hell in a Cell, though. Or Rage in a Cage. Or whatever. Give them the TLC Match over the Money in the Bank briefcase with Edge and Christian at some point in the summer months, let them work a Steel Cage Match, and have an I Quit Match to finish up.

Not in terms of acting though....

YOU DON'T HATE ME MATTHEW MOORE HARDY!

Really, their mic skills are killing this feud for me. They need to beat each other with chairs and ladders as soon as possibly.

Not only that, they've probably both got worse already.
