It suuuuuuuuuuuuucked. Not based on the game but they did have some kind of deal with Rockstar when GTA III was released and packaged the film and game together. San Andreas/CJ probably has the easiest/most obvious to 'convert' story |

GTA would be one of the easiest games to crossover. Obviously it wouldn't be a straight conversion but something along the lines of anti-hero vs. the bad guys. I'm guessing everybody that is down on it would be due to the fact video game films tend to suck. Done well it could be fine. Odds are it's gonna happen one day anyways

Doesn't need to be made into a movie. The games are practically interactive-movies anyways. Next gen's games will pretty much be movies on their own, so let's leave the video game movie making up to the guys making the games.

Loads of films 'didn't need it', I just thought with the right casting, a fuckin awesome soundtrack the world-wide fan base would liken to it, I dunno, wasn't a serious thought just rather a passing one.

So what would this movie be? Some guy on a mission to kill those who wronged him, only to get bored in the middle so he goes out and kills random people, has sex with hookers, and goes on police chases all around the city only to get killed and wake up outside of a hospital fresh as a daisy?
