I'll give you everything except the unimpressive in the ring. I thought he was damn talented.

I never saw him in the indies or OVW either. Infact, when I first saw him at the 07 Rumble (I had stopped watching WWE prior to that for about 2 years) I thought he was Heidenreich. I noticed he did a lot of the little things in the ring though: he worked good psychology, he got the crowd into each match, and the thing I loved the most about him was his "defensive" style of wrestling. It always looked like he was actively trying to counter all of his opponents moves, which nobody else really does. What he lacked though, was an impactful finisher, and after he was turned face, his character completely lost steam. When he returns, IF he gets another chance, I really hope he makes the most of it.

Funny, because I'm not interested in Lashley ever coming back to WWE again. I think he's seriously one of the most forgettable and uninteresting "main event stars" that there has ever been.

In all honesty, he bored the shit out of me. I actually began to enjoy him at the beginning of his ECW run, but lost interest quickly after that. It's crazy how he just left, and after about 2 minutes nobody seemed to care. I've never seen the abrupt exodus of a main eventer be so underwhelming among fans and the product.

I'm just glad he didn't hang around long enough to capture the title. That'd be a pretty bad "former WWE champion"
