Faith No More has always stood out as some sort of unique beast; part dog, part cat--its music almost as schizophrenic as the personalities of its members. When it all worked, it worked really well, even if the chemistry was always volatile. Throughout our 17years of existence, the mental and physical energy required to sustain this creature was considerable and relentless. Though amicable enough, when we finally split, we all followed paths seemingly destined to opposite ends of the universe.

Meanwhile we find ourselves at a moment in time with zero label obligations, still young and strong enough to deliver a kickass set, with enthusiasm to not only revisit our past but possibly add something to the present. And so with this we've decided to hold our collective breaths and jump off this cliff....
BACK, GOD FORBID, INTO THE MONKEY CAGE!!!

We can only hope that the experience of playing together again will yield results erratic and unpredictable enough to live up to the legacy of FNM.
Who know where this will end or what it will bring up...only the future knows. But we are about to find out!

Why did nobody announce this earlier? This is epic news.

I know they are playing at the Download Festival. Hopefully they'll play some solo shows in the Uk as well. New album maybe?

Yeah this is at least two weeks old for me, but it's really cool.

I've always liked FNM, but never in a huge way. Anyways hearing about this got me all excited so I started listening to them again. 'Angel Dust' and 'The Real Thing' are amazing albums.

However, I won't be going to Download Festival, coz I generally think that British Metal festivals suck.

Festivals suck, period.

I have yet to see Mike Patton live, which I really want to do. So I'm hoping they will do a solo show in Manchester.

That is pure awesome in a can.

Only downside is, no Jim Martin. Oh well.

What makes you say that?

For my metal festivals I tend to look around European countries like Italy, France, Germany and Sweden etc. Stuff like Gods of Metal and Bang Your Head. That's some good shit right there.

Does Warped Tour count as a festival? If so, then it DEFINITELY does not suck (assuming there are good bands on the bill)

Lets keep this to FNM goodness.

Anyways, surrounded by the sweaty masses are not my idea of fun. But I am liking the look of Download this year:
