I'm thinking of taking a stab at fixing RRoD's.
Buy them off of craigslist, fix them up then flip em. I've been doing some research and will probably be using this pdf as my guide. I'm fairly knowledgeable with the insides of computers, so I'm not going in blind. I know a few of you here have fixed them. Is there any advice you have?

I dunno, I probably won't. I have too much time on my hands during the day and will probably be too lazy to go hunting for them and all that shit.

God, this is such a dumb idea. I don't even have enough money to buy a broken xbox.

Right-o, looks like this matter is settled :o
|
And thanks for the guide, I just picked up a RROD'd 360, too

you are welcome

Most likely people will probably start ditching the old 360's in favor of the Jasper SKU's pretty soon, due to a reduced RRoD likelyhood which is probably due to the fact that the new GPU & CPU processors will both run at 65nm/s.

Easy as to fix, also replacing the fans in the 360 with some upgraded ones is a good idea.

You should go for it G.
I followed the tutorial and the 360 I mentioned works now. It all cost $61 and some change (360 console + hardware from Lowes) |
I need to get in contact with a buddy of mine about getting a second 360. The place I used to work at no longer sells em, but they have 5 or 6 sitting in the cage in the store collecting dust. Said I could probably grab one for a good $50. If I can snag it, I am gonna mod the shit out of that fucker.
