My only real complaint is the crowd is weak for EVERYTHING.

Nick picks would be that the new commentator sucks and Prazak is as stoic and dull as ever.

Solid matches doing what they need to do though. Definitly shocked they put Black/Jacobs on this. They really don't need to give away money matches on TV.

But none the less solid first outing.

How do you figure?

The way I see it there trying to get a new audience, they have to put there best up. This can almost be seen as a reset I would think and it means they need to wow the new people with something and then create new storys to move forward with.

When your that new I dont think you can afford to put all your "Money" matches on PPV only.

Hold on im kind of out of the loop, do ROH do PPV? Or just DVD release still?

Yeah the crowd and the announcer are the only things I can think not too highly of. I like the camera angles they are using, more MMA style above the ring.

How long before this overtakes TNA? This is the first time I've really watched more than one isolated ROH match and it's already better than all the TNA I've ever seen.

For the first show and even every now and agian it's fine. But it's NOT somethign they want to get in the habit of. If you've ever watched USWA they used to have wrestling on every saturday morning. They used this show to get people to come out to their arena shows that monday. RoH should be built the same way. Build the fueds on the show and have the blow off either on PPV or live.

Fuck that talk. Enjoy a fresh product.

Yeah, apparently the crowd was weak the first taping (first 4 shows), so, yeah... I think part of it had to do with people having no clue who was coming out to what music, since they had to change a bunch of it up.

But yeah, they've received some pretty good feedback, and I enjoyed the first outing... Hopefully this takes off.

This was my first time ever seeing any ROH and I can think of only this to say: That was some of the best wrestling I've seen in a long time.

can i please get dave prazak as a heel announcer

seriously do this. i do not regret spending as much money on roh as i have.

Prazak isn't THAT good, yeah this hog guy is worse, I would like a new announce team.

But to be fair, I've wanted one for years.

Prazak calls the moves well but he has no passion in his voice. It sound like a work the way he call things.

i've never been huge on prazak. he's too soft. but i just heard him do this little evil laugh when talking about rhett titus and it was awesome.

Him getting gimmicked up would bother me at all.

I'm looking forward to Nigel/Briscoe. I've never seen a whole Nigel match, but I am a big fan of the Briscoes from what I've seen.

The announcers bugged me a bit, especially the play-by-play guy. He seems like he'd be really good for baseball or basketball, but he doesn't fit in wrestling. The color guy seemed very lethargic during the show (not shitting on him, just giving my two cents).

Also, I can't wait to have Bobby Cruise on the show.

And Tyler Black is pretty awesome.

I have been a fan of ROH for a few years and have seen many shows. This was just typical ROH. Great wrestling and no useless promos. I love ROH

Oddly enough, Mike Hogewood used to do ACC Football/Basketball and NASCAR. He's good at that but absolutely terrible for Wrestling.

Its also really great to be able to watch this in actual HD on HDNet. The PQ is great, but I should have figured it would be since its on HDNet.

I had a weird dream when I heard that ROH would be on HDNet that Mark Cuban would buy ROH and try and outdo Vince. Cuban has way more money than Vince does and his own Cable networks. He could probably really do it if he wanted which is what makes it funny.

Never really following ROH before, I thought it was cool how they gave the new viewers a little background on each wrestler before their match -- everyone got the chance to say something, and the quick facts while they were making their entrances brought everyone up to do on current feuds and alliances. They also did a really good job building the night's main event. I'm definitely looking forward to future episodes and starting to see some champions pop up on the show.
