Anyone listen to Epica?
I kind of stumbled on them on eMusic. There's still a lot of elements of "epic" metal I don't like, but between the orchestration and the vocalist (She's like amy Lee if Amy really could hit all the notes she wanted), hot damn!
I downloaded the Divine Conspiracy (EDIT: Yeah, had Dante on the brain), and I think I'm gonna be snagging more. |
Not really.
The only song I like but Epica is their cover to Replica by Fear Factory. I love it. check it out if you haven't heard it yet. |
My ex girlfriend listened to Epica. I thought they were okay, but never really bothered to get any of their material myself. Some of their songs were pretty cool though.

I do. Good shit. And good god, I would do dirty dirty things to Simone Simons.

Yeah, I've got Consign to Oblivion.
Almost sounds as if Amy Lee was fronting Nightwish. |

Even when she does the über soprano shit, Epica front sounds good. And at points, it very much sounds like Amy Lee...Only with better pitch and a stronger grasp of the melodies she's singing. It's a shame eMusic only has one full record. I'm trying not to spend much on music right now, so I'm probably going to wait. |

So I'm downloading the Disco, minus the tracks I have. |
