IYO: Will Edge be the dark horse in the race
 

With 8 Heavyweight Championship reigns already under his belt do you see Edge breaking HHH's, Dwayne Johnson's, Hulk Hogan's and Ric Flair's record for the maximum number of Heavyweight title reigns.

I am optimistic as far as Edge is concerned and I am looking forward to it.

i have no doubt in my mind that he'll reach double digits, but to pass hhh? i would love it, but i don't see that happening. definitely should not pass ric flair. nobody should.

If anyone is going to beat Flair's record, it'll be HHH. If HHH doesn't ,there's no way in hell Edge will, because I'm sure HHH would petition to make Flair's # sacred or something. If HHH does beat it, well, I don't see Edge beating HHH.

Can anyone make a list for the superstars with the maximum number of wwe/wcw/nwa/tna title reigns? I have a strange feeling that I am forgetting some one. How many reigns does Kurt have?

I see Edge losing at Backlash and taking time off so that Cena can feud with Show for infinite time.

Edge is just 36 years old and has more time left than HHH.

I can see him hitting 12 or so. I don't know why but I don't see Edge being around in about five years.

it's not a matter of being evil. i'm a huge HHH fan. but come on. to think that he won't have any say in whether edge ends up with more reigns than him is naive.

No, it is the common sense thinking that goes into the understand that Triple H isn't the booker and Triple H isn't the evil son of a bitch so many of you think he is because your favorite wrestler didn't beat him for the World Title in 2003.

He could. If he turns face he could get some longer reigns. Who knows.

I think Edge could be a hell of a babyface next year.

Edge is still great as a heel, but when he turns face it could be awesome because he hasn't been a good face since 2002 and early 2003. I'd hold off on Edge turning face until there are some real main event heels for him to feud with.

You people actually think that if Vince McMahon is wanting to put the belt on Edge, but Edge is going to be going for reign #13, that Triple H will do everything in his power to make sure that doesn't happen.

This. I just don't think it'll happen if Triple H doesn't want it to. I wouldn't be surprised if it does, because Edge gets title reigns like candy these days, but eventually I think there will be a few brakes put on him.

I agree with the majority or people saying the only person who will break the record will be HHH.

He is married to Vince's daughter, who is the head of the Writing Division for the WWE. You really think he doesn't have A LOT of fucking pull in the way that storylines are written? I am well aware that he is married to the head writer of WWE, but I do believe the McMahons will do whatever they feel is best for business, Triple H or no Triple H.
