<font color=goldenrod>I'd probably leave Alicia Fox on ECW, really no reason to separate her from DJ Gabriel. Not a big deal though.
I would have moved Tyson Kidd to SmackDown rather than move DH Smith and Natalya to ECW...then I'd just move somebody else to ECW instead, maybe Curt Hawkins just because I have a hard time seeing Hawkins and Ryder working solo. But to be honest...since ECW has working agreements with Raw and SmackDown in storyline, it kinda feels like all the draft does is decide what roster page you appear on on WWE.com and what nameplate graphic you get when you enter.</font> |
Smackdown.
Best move is tough. There were a number of good moves. Still, I think Jericho to Smackdown may be the most immediately successful. That instantly places him as a top dog there, since he's already established, and now along with Edge he pretty much runs that show. Seeing them work together should be great. But, the best move in the long run may be CM Punk to Smackdown. In that, he'll be a much larger fish. Whereas he ranked down the list on Raw, he is now in the top 5 of the main event hierarchy, if not higher. It should be a great place for his character to begin elevating to main event status, and become an established star. There'll be more time for him, and more focus on him. Hopefully he'll get some mic work, since he'll be working with Edge and Jericho. Also, his match quality is gonna go up bigtime. The same things I spoke to for CM Punk apply to John Morrison. If they book him a bit stronger, and add a mean streak to his character to make him a more legit threat, everything else should fall into place. Naturally, he ranks pretty high up on Smackdown now compared to his stints on Raw. He should be looking at consistent uppermidcard status, and I think they could do a lot with him as an IC champion. They certainly have the talent on the show to elevate him.... and the IC belt itself benefits greatly. It is in a good position to return to a level of importance. It's on Rey, who like him or not, is a good thing for the belt. He's very popular, and a big star. It's also now on a show that isn't clogged with 10 main eventers who are above holding it. It will remain in uppermidcard status and occupy some real prominence on the card now. There's a great pool of guys who are on the perfect level for that strap, and I think it will be put to good use there, like the US championship was for most of it's stint on SD. I also don't think guys like Jericho and Jeff Hardy are going to see it as below them to work with the uppermidcard and the IC title. |
Charlie Haas moving to SmackDown! might mean he actually gets to do something.
|
Would be cool to see Shelton/Haas as a tag team again.
|
I'd like to see Theodore Long force them to team up, with Shelton feeling he is more of a singles player, but Haas being ecstatic to have his old partner back.
|
I'm interested to see whether The Brian Kendrick gets pushed on RAW, or if he's just there to be a comedy wrestler. RAW actually looks like it has a mid-card now, and there's no reason that The Kendrick, who started off as a really hot and interesting character, couldn't be used in a filler program with a main eventer.
Jesse & Festus being split up is long overdue, as the WWE was too fascinated with Festus for their own good. Bring on Jesse Gordy. The other teams split spark my interest, too. Just what does the WWE have planned with Ezekiel Jackson, who once got to no-sell a steel chair shot from Triple H? Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins need some time to develop individual personalities. Finlay might actually be without Hornswoggle now, which might help people (and creative) take him a little more seriously. |
I'm really excited about Smackdown at the moment. They have a great roster and none of the politic people like Triple H (dunno about Taker though).

Was there enough change?
On paper, I say yeah, because a lot of champions got switched around, some stale people got moved and Hornswoggle refuses to go away... wait, that has nothing to do with this. But in actuality, I'm kind of on the fence. Some of the moves look like change for the sake of change (Vickie, Big Show to RAW) but maybe I'm just nitpicking. What would you have done different? I'm not sure who mentioned this, but I think it was Heyman (the poster, not the ECW mogul guy), that he wanted Smackdown to be a 'veterans' brand or something to that effect. I thought that was a tremendous idea. I would have done that, but then... that would change 'too much' or something. I thought cruisers, divas and tag-teams all on exclusive brands sounded like making the shows different, but I think they've tried that before. Who will prove to be the best move? As much as Jericho was a loss to RAW and seeing as I only used to watch RAW, I might watch Smackdown now. I think that makes it the best move? CM Punk, Jericho to Smackdown looks like great moves. Who will be the most worthless? In my opinion, probably Hornswoggle. In actuality, I'm not sure. Which Show are you most excited for now? The Big Show, of course. What? Its a capital 'S', so I'm assuming-- yeah okay, I'll shut up. |
Whoever did the list forgot that Theodore Long would be considered as Other on-air SmackDown! Talent, as he has once again taken up the reigns as SD! GM. And, anyway, why the fuck did they let Tiffany take over on ECW as it's GM...are they trying to make it even more third-rate than it already is? I don't care, I would seriously mark out if they would bring back either of the following to replace her.

Was there enough change?: Yes, but what's the point if a sizable percentage of the wrestlers will appear on other shows anyways?
What would you have done different? Make RAW the place where your two biggest main-event stars are surrounded by NEW guys that have a legitimate chance of establishing themselves as non-transitional world champs. So - RAW, in my opinion, should have been built around Cena, Orton, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, MVP, etc. Who will prove to be the best move? Jericho and CM Punk should turn out to be very valuable additions to Smackdown. Who will be the most worthless? Too many to list here. If the WWE has their wish however, perhaps it will be Christian (no matter what show he's on). Which Show are you most excited for now? Neither. Smackdown and ECW are seen as clear cut 'B' and 'C' shows respectively, while RAW has way too much of a glass ceiling. The WWE are complete morons. |
The draft was dominated by one John Randall Hennigan:

I would’ve left Hornswoggle and The Miz in ECW.
Best move is Carlito & Primo to RAW. If they book them a bit stronger and make them a threat, they could do a lot with them as Tag Team Champions. |

I think a lot of the moves to SmackDown! will benefit. Right now, SmackDown! needs them. It's crowded as hell over there if you actually look at it, as there are are only a few really big names (The Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho and to lesser degrees, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio), but there are just a lot of guys looking to break through like Umaga, Shelton Benjamin and John Morrison. You also have wild cards sitting around like Curt Hawkins, Charlie Haas and Jesse, who may not be doing much of anything at the moment, but after losing tag team partners, and changing shows, there could be renewed interest in their development.
ECW is looking pretty spiffy. It seems like they're in a bit of a holding pattern, but I expect an influx of FCW guys to change the show up a bit later in the year. You've got guys like SOS, Eric Escobar, Drew McIntyre and Byron Saxon who are pretty much begging to be called up, and although they won't all end up on ECW, it's likely we'll see a few FCW guys show up. Hornswoggle being moved away from Finlay might lead to something good for Finlay. One can only hope. |
I really wanna see MVP and Miz start to feud over the U.S. Title.
|
Oh, it's coming Volare.
|
With Hornswoggle on RAW, he's got to do something. Of all the things I can come up with, I'd most like to see William Regal start looking after his old friend's son. Regal is of course manipulating Hornswoggle to help him out in his matches and get him back to the position on the card he was approaching last year.

the draft blew..... they need to do away with that shit and have anyone anywhere, whereever to fued with whoever would be best
