What were some of your favorite fueds
Lesnar vs. Goldberg, though live the match itself was awesome.
Joey Styles when he turned on the King and WWE.
HHH vs. Orton..... anything with Stephanie makes me happy ;)
Ugh....Goldberg vs Lesnar was an abortion.....the match was even terrible....I wouldn't be surprised if those two stunners Austin delivered were not even in the plan and instead because he was pissed to be a part of it...haha.
First of all.....once upon a time we were all 'marks'....so I really wish that word would just go away. Hogan vs Sting actually got me into wrestling so..haha...I guess it doesn't get any more 'mark' than that.
you seem to have a firm grasp on this mark concept
WWF vs WCW
this isn't even debatable |
Too right Supreme.
seriously one thread works pretty good

I think I got you beat. |

Although none were as exciting as the original.
Jericho vs. Christian (featuring Trish)
Trish vs. Mickie Morrison vs. Punk Shelton vs. HHH Triple H vs. Batista Lesnar vs. Angle Edge vs. Booker T (for the Shampoo commercial) Austin vs. Booker T ("Price check on a jackass!) Jericho vs. Malenko (Cruiserweight title) Jericho vs. Goldberg (The matchless feud) The Hart Foundation vs. The United States of America The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian (T.I.T. tournament) Michaels vs. Martel (No hitting in the face) .....just to name a few. |
Austin v Rock
Rock vs Foley Trish vs Mickie James E & C vs Hardy's (and los conquistadors) Shane Mcmahon vs Kurt Angle Benoit vs Angle Regal vs Benoit RVD vs Cena (Spoiler, Cena Wi.. Wait a minute) Hogan vs Rock Taker vs Kane |
Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin. Gosh, that feud was awesome. I honestly think it is my favorite program in the history of wrestling. I have so many memories from it, and caused many emotions for me. It was also one of the funnest times I think I ever had as a fan.
nWo Wolfpac....'nuff said.
Oh shit, how could I forget to mention Austin/Hart? Also, Bret/Owen.
Austin/Rock, Triple H/Rock, Goldberg/Hogan, Diesel/Undertaker, Austin/Hart, Hogan/Rock, Jericho/Rock, Jericho/HBK, Angle/Benoit, Austin/Angle...
There's a lot that I've marked out for in WWF/WWE alone. I would have to think long and hard about WCW feuds or ECW feuds or other companies' feuds that I marked for. |
WTF you've totally edited this thread's original point.
Going old school.
Flair/Rhodes Flair/Steamboat And not so old. Booker T/Benoit |
The Rock vs. Austin - 2001
Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar - 2003 Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H - 2002 Shawn Michaels vs. DX - 1998 (more of a confrontation than a feud though). Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels - 1997 I would have marked for Cena vs. Batista had the morons at Titan actually booked it right, but they fucked it up royally. If it had been up to me, Cena and Batista would have headlined Wrestlemania 22. |
you notice how none of those fueds where the fueds that launched the guys but fuieds they after they had been over for years? Ok, just checkin.

I've never thought Goldberg vs Lesnar to be a bad match. It would've been absolutely awesome if the crowd wasn't being bastards the whole time, although that did add a coolnees factor to it in itself. They had the Power vs Power mechanics down, IMO.

Moron. What was the point of your posts anyways? |
I thought the Bret Hart/Steve Austin feud was a perfect represention of what would soon happen in the world of wrestling. Here you had Bret Hart....A classic hero who represented the WWF of the old days. i.e. The time when the WWF was more kid friendly, and family oriented, and you had characters that were great role models for kids. Then you have guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin and a stable like D-X.....Austin and D-X totally represented the era that would follow the kid friendly WWF...the attitude era. Here you have Stone Cold Steve Austin: A rule-breaking, cursing, middle finger giving, bad guy filled with anger and testosterone. Then you had a stable like D-X that that liked to moon people, be obnioxius, and act like smart-ass teenagers. Both Austin and D-X pretty much said to hell with the family friendly WWF era, and they did what they wanted, and were the new "heroes" to all those kids from the old WWF that use to cheer for Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart when they were kids, only now, they grew up and became teenagers, and they thought characters like Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart, and what they believed in, and what they represented were "cheesy". The teenagers wanted to cheer for the rebels like Stone Cold Steve Austin and D-X who pretty much did the same things they all did, or would have liked to have done.
I think the Bret Hart/Steve Austin feud, and the short lived Hart Foundation/D-X feud were symbolic of the changes that happen in many young men's lives where we go from boyhood to teenhood, as well. Bret Hart represented our childhood when things were more innocent. Austin and D-X represented the world that we would soon enter...a world with teen rebellion, fist fighting, drama, drugs, partying, sex, and booze. It was like these two forces (Bret Hart and Austin/D-X) and their way of life were competing all through out 1997 for control of the WWF and it's fans. |
