Want opinions: WHY DOESN'T ANYONE DO CAPTIONS ANYMORE?
We're down to about 5 regulars. Is it too many images? Or just a general lack of interest? |
I'd say it is a combination. Too many images not only increases the load times of the threads, but a lot of them are just pretty much difficult to caption with something witty. Maybe only put a few in the thread, but post a link to the photobucket gallery just in case someone can see something brilliant to do with one that you didn't think would be good.
Also, I know this comes down to an issue of time and inclination, but a caption of the week could potentially bolster interest. I know you did the caption of the month last time, but no one wants to wait a whole month. A weekly regular thing would validate people more often, as well as make people go "Caption of the Week poll?! Sweet! I like voting on things! Mayhaps I shall enter my own captions next time and fulfill my lifelong dream of being an option in a poll!" |
On a more personal note, the reason I haven't done captions for a few weeks is because I was incredibly busy and did not want to load and scroll through all these pictures. Which goes back to the too many pictures thing I guess.
