Apparently this is Hercules last televised match in the WWF and it's not hard to see why. This is awful.

OK, I'm surprised this wasn't posted. I know it's over-selling as opposed to no-selling, but it's still making a mockery and doesn't stop my surprise that nobody posted it here.

Anyway

The funny thing about that is Hogan probably thought after the match "Finally someone is selling my offense properly."

It doesn't get any prettier - production values or quality of match. Stick with it though; Luger gets humiliated.

Another instance of you completely ignoring the faults of the person he's in there with.

Luger shat himself is pretty much the whole story

Oh wait, wait..in this case, Hogan played politics and he beat HBK at it. HBK got schooled by the master. HBK, not being able to get the upper hand in a game he usually enjoys winning, took a whining fit and acted unprofessionally towards Hogan for some percieved slight towards him.
You do realize how many guys HBK has slighted in his own manner? And yet, they all managed to work with him properly. At least none of them went out and made a mockery of the match or tried to make him look bad.

Got schooled? Please. Hogan played his cards, Michaels didn't even try to play that game. He wanted something different, and he wasn't going to get it. So he did what he should have done, he did the job, and gave Hogan one of the best matches he's had since his testes still functioned properly. And in the process, he exposed what a joke Hulk Hogan is and gave a memorable match that would otherwise have been forgotten. Where was this whining fit you claim happened, besides? Unlike some people he could name, he went out there and did the job he was supposed to do.

You know Zen... I used to think you were aight but this... this is just over the top. I mean the heat you have for HBK has been going on for far too long and over what?

It's like you're refusing to see that HBK is extremely talented in the ring and can deliver 5 star matches, can deliver awesome matches, can even carry matches in his 40s. So in this case... this case Hogan decided to play politics and screw HBK over. What was gonna be agreed to was a series instead turned into a one off match cause Hogan flat out refuses to job to anyone. ANYONE!

So did HBK act unprofessionaly? Possibly. I mean yeah it was rather funny to see overselling of that sort but seriously man... it's time to let whatever grudge you got against HBK ... just let it go. It's getting ridiculous.

So in that case he must have an unblemished loss record. Strange as ive seen him lose cleanly plenty of times.

Its one thing to have a argument backstage about it, to make a mockery out of a match people paid to see is entirely another thing, just shows how much of a little shit god boy can still be when he feels like it.

Loose Cannon 04-29-2009 12:10 PM

wow, Hercules. Never saw that before. lol @ how he blatenly protected himsefl from the powerbomb. He reminds me of the guy from Little House on the Prarie/Highway to Heaven fame. Not Michael Landon

PullMyFinger 04-29-2009 04:24 PM

LOL @ that Sid Justice match....LMAO @ the powerbomb

Heyman 04-29-2009 04:29 PM

Tedious and Superslim,

Although I agree with you that Zen's hatred for Shawn Michaels is a little.....much, the fact of the matter is that you guys are both WRONG.....while Zen is 100% correct in this case.

Zen has more wrestling knowledge in his pinky finger than you assclowns will ever have.

The only posters on here that come even close to knowing as much about wrestling as Zen, are The CyNick (former poster now I guess), Rob, and Loose Cannon.

Zen v.W.o. 04-29-2009 06:36 PM

Just the fact a couple guys referred to that SS match as a classic says enough. HBK did a fine job in making wrestling come off fake to the point you couldnt suspend reality and take it for what it is.

He simply made a spectacle of himself in that match.

Now, as for this supposed hatred I have for HBK. Not really. I will always admit he's one of the best of all time. Great wrestler, still doing things better than guys half his age. But not in that match, no sir. Hogan needed someone there to make him look as good as possible, and in the process it'd make HBK look fantastic in being able to do so. Instead he turned the match upside down with his acting and it came across looking like a circus act. HBK should have risen above.

CSL 04-29-2009 07:08 PM

Yeah, only it didn't come across as a circus act. That match went on quite a while. Michaels' acting up wasn't as noticable in the full match as it is in that video and it certainly didn't make a spectacle of the match. If people didn't know anything of HBK's reputation, it would have been considered 'entertaining heel antics' or something equally as justifying

Gerard 04-29-2009 07:13 PM

Am i the only one that thinks that the Herc match wasn't that bad? Sure he no sold a lot of the offense but he had the gimmick of being a really powerful guy when he was in the wwe, hes going toe to toe with another powerful guy so id imagine it would take a while for either man to get worn down any. There was basically a few punches exchanged then the powerbomb which he popped up pretty quick after the pin. Makes sense to me considering how short the match was and the lack of real offense in it.

The way he protected himself was very obvious, but that could play into how he was up so fast after it. If anything it was actually more realistic in my eyes, why would a finisher right at the start of a match leave the opponent laying for ages? Not like he's been worn down any.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-29-2009 07:26 PM

Ok but Sid was the TOP heel in your company, and Hercules at that point was basically just a jobber. Every other squash match Sid was in resulted in the opponent leaving the ring on a stretcher. Nobody got up from the powerbomb, including Hogan. Hercules no sold, and left the company soon after.

Hogan did get up from the powerbomb (kicked out of it then started vibrating about the ring), that being said herc had a reputation built up by that point of being a tough guy. From a logical standpoint the match doesnt look that bad, however this is wwe we're talking about here. :(

Triple Naitch 04-29-2009 09:07 PM

Lol, I never thought I'd say this but Hercules easily wins this one.

well yea, logically, it works. But Logically, Kane wouldn't job as much as he does. Logically, Big Show or Khali wouldn't lose much.

But wrestling is all about perception and like Supreme said, when Sid is your top heel, Herc sitting right up after taking a finishing move sure didn't make Sid look very threatning there. Luckily, it was a short squash match, so nobody probably cared.

Gertner 04-30-2009 01:27 AM

Paul Roma against Alex Wright. Clash of the Champions I believe. Roma ended up getting fired.

Dave Youell 04-30-2009 03:47 AM

Ok, people.

Go back and watch Heel HBK from the Mid 90's I'm talking before his first title run. He over-sold all the time, it was great. Wrestling is fake, it doesn't matter, get the fuck over it.

Other no sells that stick out:

Taz no selling a powerbomb to Bam Bam as the first move of the match

Hogan, no selling alot of stuff, stand out one was no selling a Tombstone as Tuesday in Texas

Rammsteinmad 04-30-2009 01:06 PM

Hulk Hogan no sells old age every day.

Xero 04-30-2009 01:42 PM

Hogan jobbed to Old Age years ago.
